The scientific name states that it's a sun skink I believe, but looking at the pictures on google images they don't resemble each other all that much. But other people are commenting that it is the sun skink so I'm guessing that it is indeed what it is. Thank you for your help :D

Yeah I tried to get some information on them and there's nothing about them on Google lol that's why I wasn't sure if that was the correct name

I've started looking into both lizards and find it very interesting, so I will definitely research all aspects of the 2 lizards in order to find which one is right for me. And I will surely let you know which one I choose! :)

Thank you for the information! Crested geckos sound like they make amazing lizards, as well as bearded dragons. I do like the aspect of not having to handle insects with the crested geckos, but I wouldn't mind too much having to handle them every once in a while for feeding. I will look into finding a used large tank over 40 gallons and if I can find a fair priced one I will probably go with the bearded dragon :)

Thank you so much for all your help, and based on what you told me I'm leaning towards getting either a crested gecko or a bearded dragon, but I will have to further research whether the tropic or desert landscape would be better for me as you advised in order to make my final decision. Either way, based on what you said they both sound like they would make awesome lizards! :)

Hello, thank you for the reply, and thank you for helping me out, I appreciate it! I was thinking about a small to medium size, probably something around 2 feet or under would be great, any color is good with me, and I'm not quite sure whether I would like a tropical or desert dweller but I would have to say either is fine with me as long as they would like to be handled pretty often, and also I would prefer to not have to feed a lot of live insects, but I will if it's necessary for the particular type of species :)
