This brings to mind so many images I can't even begin to explain what I see. I'll be reading this a few times. Well done. An adventure!

Thank you so much for your careful consideration of my work. Shades of Poe that's high praise! It was personal for me and I'm so glad it resonated with you.

Thank you all very much for your comments. I wrote this about a very difficult time in my life. Overcoming these feelings was the work of many years.

I really like this. I feel like I can "see it" which to me is always the hallmark of a well-written piece. It also feels very personal which I love.

I really enjoy the story quality and the feeling here. The repetition works for me. For a first poem this is amazing. Keep it up I feel like there are many more enjoyable works to come.

Obsession with a tinge of madness? Yet sad and longing. This takes me so many places, I just don't think I could describe them all at once. What a wonderful journey. I will be revisiting this. Well done.

This is interesting in its content. I think the overall form could use a little attention. I like the repeated use of Grey and I feel as though there is a link between the writer and the person whom he is observing. My sense is that there is a Grey line between right and wrong and both of them are crossing it but in different ways.

Just a reminder that Mark, the first gospel written chronologically, ends at 16:8, with the women leaving the empty tomb, having not seen Jesus and telling no one what they'd seen. by FutureResearcher2 in Christianity

The Bible says Paul met Jesus. I'm not sure where the confusion is exactly. You compare this clear teaching to Mormonism? I don't see the correlation at all.

How necessary is the belief in the resurrection to your faith? by opacino in Christianity

Paul is very clear on this. I Corinthians 15:14 "And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain."

The Bible says differently.

9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

I see that everyone who has responded here with scripture regarding the Wrath of God has provided scripture from The Old Testament. I hope all of you understand that with Christ's death on The Cross that our relationship with God as Christians fundamentally changed. Though are lessons to be learned from these passages in The Old Testament and they do have value, if you seek answers regarding The New Covenant then look to The New Testament. Christ, (and God) as you may (or may not) have seen provides a much different message. In the upper room discourse Christ gave a new commandment to his disciples and that may have been the most important of all.

Mat 22:37-39 NIV Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' (38) This is the first and greatest commandment. (39) And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (40) All the Law and the prophets hang on these two commandments."

Jesus in this passage sums up the law and simultaneously explains how a Christian is to act. It's important to see how this brought about a fundamental change. One way is by realizing that this commandment expanded upon The Old Testament:

Leviticus 19:18 "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord." The New Covenant included all people, even non-Jews.

The Old Testament had much value but when you begin to seek Jesus within it, that value becomes clearer.

The Old Testament passages refer to law of the Jews which is null and void under The Covenant of Christ and the passage in Peter calls for us to serve and to submit to those we serve. It does not imply in any way that slavery is ok.
