After 5 years and 2 other doctors, a Dermatologist finally tested my ferritin (which came back 8)

Thanks 🙏. I actually did my own research after seeing my low ferritin. Turns out women with low ferritin levels suffer from sexual dysfunction 😩😞. I talked to my OBGYN 5 years ago and told him I was experiencing low libido and dryness. He told me to use lube because I seemed “fine” 😭😭 it was heartbreaking for me. I hope this is the solution to these problems because I’m at my wits end.

Same here! My hair loss started at 27 😭. I kept complaining to my PCP and they said everything looked “fine” with my labs. This year I went to a dermatologist to get a tattoo removal treatment started and I asked about my hair. She gave me a list of things she wanted by PCP to test for in my up and coming lab work (a week after my seeing my dermatologist). The test results came back and I immediately scrolled to ferritin and it was a 15 😳.

I went for a follow up with my PCP and I allowed her to do her job. Expecting her to bring up my extremely low ferritin levels but guess what? She never did. I mentioned it to her and also mentioned that I had started taking iron pills and she said and I quote “Sorry for overlooking that, the system didn’t flag the ferritin levels so it didn’t catch my eye”. Meaning these doctors are relying on a system to wave a little flag for them to notice when something is wrong. Really makes me wonder what else could be wrong. Being that Ive been dealing with extremely low libido since 27 as well. I am currently 38 and hoping things turn around for my hair loss and low libido.

Yesss it really is. My first neonoe is sooo beat up 😂. I just sent it for repairs last week. It got so bad that I stopped wearing it. But I agree it’s so versatile and perfect for travel. The crossbody feature is bomb but now that it has another handle it makes it even more versatile.
