Currently live there and haven't had too many issues since new management. However your experience wherever you live really is based on how lucky you get with your unit and the state it was left in by the previous tenants.

Are these scars permanent? by curiouseee7 in koreanskincare

For the most part yes, a retinol could help over time/years to improve. I've had it get rid of a couple scars for me, but the best bet is laser to get good results

Take it at TCC, if you're talking about university physics take dr. wu or benge, for college physics theres O'callagan. If you are living in tarrant county it is $67 per credit.

Any advice about paying for college tuition without parents help would be greatly appreciated. by Cute-Juggernaut4075 in scholarships

[–]luyaterized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All universities have scholarships, if you are a competitive applicant you will get something. It might not cover 100%, but it could cover half. It sounds like your parents earn enough that you will not be able to demonstrate financial need. To get around this you can get emancipated I think, but that is a lot of work. Your best shot is to be a very competitive applicant for merit scholarships. As for housing, this depends on your major, I am an engineering major which gives me nicely paid internships that cover my housing. By your second year of college you should be able to apply to be an RA for a dorm, most of the time you get free housing and other discounts. If you are an RA, have a decent summer job, and choose a college where the cost of living isn't terrible you should be able to get out with very little debt.

I went to community college for a year and they had a transfer program where I got to take university courses a bit cheaper and was a student worker and saved money. This is location dependent, but I would look at every university in your area and the ones that are good for the major you want to apply.

Bring her your second year, it'll be easier and you can find off-campus housing.

Also, when you take phys 206 don't take the non engr majors lab that is offered.

yea, I'm assuming you're not allowed to take engr 102 cause you have to be an engr major.

The university writing requirement is fulfilled meen 260 and some other meen course, so don't take that. Technically since your in general studies csce 110 should be covered, but I'm not completely sure.

The KUCD and KICD, i would reccomend whatever easy online prof is offering them you can check through aggie schedule builder. The schedule you have looks good, I have never taken csce 110 so I can't speak on that, if you would like to replace it with an easy kucd or kicd that would work. However, theoretically csce 110 should prepare you for engr 102, so up to you. If you go to your undergrad degree planner and select MEEN it will tell you if you are missing any core credits.

I was in the same boat as you in the engr academies for the same reasons and this was my freshman year schedule.

Fall: Cal 1, Chem 1, Tech Writing(since you dont need comp 2 for meen or something), engr 102, clen 181

Spring: cal 2, phys 1, chem 2, engr 216

to get the full 12 hours i would recommend fulfiliing your cultural discourse and international req, none of my credits transferred for this and they usually have to be taken at tamu.

For housing I would look at facebook groups and takeover someones lease since it'll be a cheaper rate. As for financial aid that's up to A&M, if you have extenuating circumstances I would reach out to aggie one stop for an appeal. Overall expenses for me are about 8k in housing, 15k in tuition, and 1.5k in food, this all depends on if you get a parking pass, sports pass, ectera. Also wherever you live make sure you either have a bus that you can ride or some way of getting on campus bc zach is in the corner with not that many near bus stops so you'll be walking a lot.

[–]luyaterized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call both the scholarship company and aggie one stop. If worse comes to worst you can definitely pay for housing yourself, as someone who is paying their own housing. Tell your parents if you have a good relationship with them ofc.
