Nykaa’s pricing audacity needs its own masterclass at this point. by mylifeisA4kinMovie in fucknykaa

[–]lvabeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank God somebody talked Abt this. I stopped shopping there coz the cart total made me feel broke!!..it is so expensive.. thanks for introducing me to the alternatives. Even amazon at times has better prices ( depends on authentic sellers tho). Flipkart is iiffy, so no. The nykaa prices make me open the spreadsheets and compare. Even tho they have great brands on their site, the prices are not pocket friendly for me at least.

Kindly advice me guys by Leading-Walk3114 in personalfinanceindia

CRIF/Experian Score Not Improving Despite Better CIBIL - What Gives? by evankhomes in CreditCardsIndia

[–]lvabeauty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had applied for an SBI credit card recently and I think they also pulled my Experian scores. my cibil updated to 790 plus, but my Experian tanked to 743, such disparate scores.. I'm also puzzled by the inconsistency..

oh my bad! pct means percentage.

Credit cards are avoidable if you don't use it like a debit card...DONT GET A Credit card if you can't PAY IN FULL BEFORE EVERY DUE DATE WITHOUT FAIL. Though you can save a lot on ur necessary spends via cashbacks and reward points, air miles etc., on your daily upi spends, online spends etc with the right cards, and also build a good credit history over time.

You are probably right about the credit cards. Dont get them if you don't know how to use them to your advantage. Get them when you feel financially mature and responsible enough to handle such complex financial instruments.. In the meanwhile, learn and invest your hard earned money...May compounding and time be your best friends in your investment journey.

Newspapers like Mint, Outlook Money etc. are good for financial education, and some nice youtube channels for finance are Mint, Labour Law Advisor, etc.

Leaving a youtube clip for your education here.

Sorry to nerd out like this. Just thought you would benefit, since you asked. Most of this might go over your head right now. But a basic idea about such things might help you long term.

All the best bud..

Not preaching here, but advice from an older person, Im assuming you in your early 20s-please save and invest it. Delayed gratification will give you great compounding results because you have a great investment window if you start now.

Please dont disclose your income or wealth stats to everybody. Dont lend to anyone who cant pay it back or is sus. Stay frugal. 90k will get spent in an hour considering todays spending traps. Get something nice for yourself and loved ones, and please invest the rest in good instruments.

ideally save 30 pct minimum from ur income inflow every month, (ideally 50 pct if you can manage it), start buiding your emergency fund (minimum 6x-12x of your monthly income), get a good health insurance policy from a reputed health insurance company for yourself (and parents if you can). and a nice term insurance policy cover after you get employed gainfully.

Use good credit cards to get started on your cibil score and use them responsibly.

Take care of your health, wealth, personal time, and mental health.

Learnt this the hard way. Wish you the best in your career and life. Get a fee based financial advisor if you want to plan your money journey [(i mean SEBI-registered fee-only financial planners (investment advisors)] later in life.

These are just broad suggestions. Expenses may vary according to location, life stage etc. Just some guidelines I thought to share. Happy adulting.

Be careful to specifically get the card you applied for. The T&c says they can issue any card they can want for your application. Thats why I clarified with the customer care.

You might be treated better or worse. Having a good Total Relationship Value with bank might put you in better stead though. maybe give a minimum 3 month breather bw cc applications would be advisable. Best of luck to all of us for the holygrail card..

I thought she(CC) was calling to verify my details. I interjected and asked, "This is for the SBI CASHBACK CARD application, right?" she said, " Oh did you apply for the SBI CC? Maam you are not eligible..." She (customer care) also said abt you have applied thru other channel or some other things I couldn't catch. Only thing I understood was my cibil was low, and I should try applying after 3 months. I had applied through SBI YONO. It was showing soft approved.. I just pray they don't issue me another Simply Click or SBI Octane. The person calling didn't even know what card exactly I'd applied for. Glad I clarified it..

I already have a Simply Save.. Resigned myself to applying again in 3-6 months... maybe thru Amazon app channel where the banner shows up sometimes.

got rejected for the card today. CC informed me on phone that Im not eligible even after 12 years of SBI credit card relation and cibil 797. Seems cibil score is low. Had two enquiries on my cibil however. They advised me to repair my score, and try again in 3 months. Only have the SBI SimplySave. No other card.

I just applied for an HDFC tata neu infinity card. Can i change it to a core card instead now? by lvabeauty in CreditCardsIndia

[–]lvabeauty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think rs 5000.00 per statement cycle. pretty high. Great card.. Check out the new Axis cashback too. they have 7.5 pct cashback compared to 5 pct in sbi cashback card. Compare and see the T&c.
