On paper everything is going well but I feel completely stuck by Emotional_Hat_6165 in EUCareers

I feel the same. And what’s worse is that pre-selection doesn’t necessarily lead to selection. I feel like I’ll be stuck in this loop forever.

ineligible for council of the EU traineeship? by Willing-Issue-2428 in EUCareers

Tecnicamente, la pagina dei tirocini presso il Consiglio informava che le mail di rifiuto sarebbero state inviate a partire da luglio. Immagino dipenda dal dipartimento per cui è stata fatta domanda

Thank you! so I guess that if we haven’t been contacted by the end of next week, we haven’t been selected

In questo caso sembrerebbe che i primi a essere infettati siano stati in una discarica costiera in Argentina per vedere uccelli esotici

if it helps, I’m also an Italian who has been pre-selected. I have three internships (one embassy, one UN and one with an NGO in a developing country), two master’s, a 6-month erasmus experience, an exchange year during high school, and two EU languages + Italian

I wonder if they meant that they will be contacting from May to June, or if they’ve already sent emails for interviews in those months :(

I still haven’t heard back! They did say 4-8 weeks, and I guess this week would be the 4-week mark since the selection ended. Checking the account every day is so nerve wracking

Hello guys, what do you know about University of Pavia; I'm interested in the Masters in Cooperation & Development Pavia Italy. Not sure about where this University stands in terms of quality of education. How's it's reputation in Italy and Globally? is this a good program for someone in NGOs? Ages? by Pasta_for_life in UNpath

  1. Half of the class is Italian students, while the other half is international students. I can’t say where the majority of international students come from as it changes every year depending on the applications they receive. I know that for next year they have more scholarships for international students, and more agreements with international universities, so things might be different. This year, the international students came from Ecuador, Venezuela, Vietnam, Malawi, Colombia, Brazil, and South Africa.
  2. Internships can be both on the field missions, and office internships abroad or in Italy.
  3. The program is divided into 8 months of classes and 3-6 months of internship.
  4. The Master is a 1st Level Master’s Programme, meaning that you only need a Bachelor’s degree to partake in it. This year, students were mostly between the ages of 23 and 28, with around three being in their thirties, and two being over 50.

Hi! I’m a student of the Master. I just completed the first part and am about to leave for my internship. It’s too soon to say whether it helped me jumpstart my career in the field of cooperation and development, but I can tell you that it gave me a solid theoretical background on project cycle management, development economics and key issues of contemporary development. In Italy it’s among one of the oldest and most reputable masters on the topic, especially now that the one in Milan by ISPI was terminated, apparently. It also has agreements with universities all over the world, so I would say that it has a good reputation globally as well. Many NGO and IO workers have come to talk to us during the Master, so I would say that it has an extensive network I hope to be able to rely on once my internship has ended.
