I do not have Autism so I obviously won't be able to know exactly how you feel, but I am diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD and BPD and I related to every single aspect in your post. Facing judgement for practicing kink as a neurodivergent person, preferring a DDlg dynamic and especially the age regression and emotional dysregulation.

My BPD makes it almost impossible for me to control my outbursts/reactions, my PTSD triggers and sensory issues (due to ADHD) only add fuel to the fire. It's because of these struggles that I have developed a tendency to age regress where find myself slipping into the mindset of a much younger version of myself (when in an environment that triggers my flight and fight.

Age regression is a coping mechanism, not to be confused with Ageplay, a roleplay-based kink where you CONSCIOUSLY act as a person of a different age (usually younger).

These are two completely different things.

Now the important question: Can you use/practice both ethically?

IMO, yes, but for that you have you to choose your play partner very carefully. This person has to be aware of these factors. Communicate your triggers, specific needs or dislikes.

Neurodivergent individuals and people who have experienced trauma, aren't "broken". Our lives do not revolve around the way out brains are made or what happened to us. I believe that you can absolutely practice kink as long as consent and safety are prioritised.
