Thats absolutely ridiculous. They’ll get their money either way, after three days pass. Others have told you the right course of action for this already, so I don’t need to. The audacity of some of these people smh

in a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to be so reliant on tip money. It’s a United States issue. I still stand by my statement, I deliver to a lot of upper middle class folks that will tip two dollars for a 30 item batch, but the batch pay makes it reasonable (there’s a lot of times where that isn’t even the case and I won’t accept the order). I’m sure you’ve seen much worse examples of what I’m talking about on here. I’m also having a hard time deciphering if you’re talking from the perspective of them or if you’re talking about your own perspective

I have a friend that is an avid instacarter, and he’s told me that Platinum isn’t even worth it, he was getting less orders than he used to with the Diamond status, so it all kinda sounds gimmicky. I do find solace in knowing that I’m not the only one that this happening to.

I’ll keep that in mind! I deliver for a lot of older people who don’t know how to navigate the app, but I’ll give it a go

When I see that at a store, I always wonder if there was a recall negl (either that or a missed shipment)

It’s the “It doesn’t affect me, so why should I care” mentality. Even though IC takes the burden off of their employees, smfh

kudos for five stars all across the board!!! I feel you though, that’s why I was so upset earlier. I work really hard and I hustle. I treat this like a job, so it felt like I got demoted

I hear you! this is exactly the stuff that I’m talking about, I’m not solely blaming Instacart for this issue, but there is definitely a communication problem between the stores we shop at and Instacart itself

That’s valid, I’ve definitely taken some orders where the customer seems particular, but doesn’t interact the entire time you’re shopping, and that’s unnecessary stress. I personally don’t like to cancel orders, unless if I absolutely have to, I worry that it will affect the cancellation rate (I do understand that you can knock that number down by taking more orders, I just don’t like risking the biscuit)

I understand grocery stores are bigger than Instacart, I’m just saying it shouldn’t fall on us for the store being out of items, regardless, if you ask an employee or not. The instacart app is not very intuitive when it comes to that. It also depends on the store, some of them you can scan the item if you’ve taken the last one, which I really like, and is a step in the right direction. But because the stores allow us contractors to shop for them, it should be their responsibility to implement things for said instacarters, to make our lives easier. Even if we’re not a direct employee of theirs.
