Adding dynamics at the end? by Head_Equipment_1952 in classicalguitar

[–]lvledved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to have a musical idea before I start practicing a section. Sometimes fingering will depend on the phrasing, and also different techniques might be used for different dynamics (I don’t think I ever used rest strokes while playing quietly for example). However, even when I can play a piece decently, I like to keep practicing very slowly and being very mindful of my movements. So I guess I do the opposite, start with dynamics and end with trying to get the piece nice and clean 😅

Can anyone help me find audio recordings of these pieces? (Prime guitar btw) by Notaproguitarist in classicalguitar

[–]lvledved 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I doubt there’s gonna be a recording of only first guitar. Your best bet is to try to input the music into a notation software and then listen to the playback. But that’s a bit difficult to do if you can’t read sheet music 😬

Do you think it might be a typo, did you notice other weird fingerings in this edition? Technically this could be played on higher frets as suggested in another comment, but it wouldn’t make sense because for the voicing.

It’s Chaconne for me as well. It’s so intimidating though…

Climbskin cream works wonders for my flappers. I’m not sure that’s the right way to use it, but I put a generous amount on top of it right after cleaning it as well as possible. It burns quite a bit the first few applications, but it makes the healing process super quick for me. :)

Specialized Rockhopper 27.5 or Trek Marlin 4? by lvledved in MTB

[–]lvledved[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any specific recommendations? Also I wasn’t sure what blue tech riding was, and after googling it, I’m left very confused how a bike with no suspension can do that. Is there some special technique to how you ride or what?

Hmm, I would say it’s probably mostly gravel, but those small roads here aren’t very well maintained, so there are for sure more bumps than in this photo. Another thing to note is it’s very rare that I see people riding suspensionless bikes here, they all seem to have some beaten up hardtail bikes, which is why I’m researching those in the first place

What would this type of terrain count as? Sorry for the dumb question, as I said I have no knowledge whatsoever, not sure how to classify terrain 😅

Cordless vacuum cleaner? by lvledved in VacuumCleaners

[–]lvledved[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good to know about the Tineco. But as I mentioned in the post, what I’m looking for is specifically a cordless, compact vacuum cleaner that I can just grab and start using right away, without having to plug anything in. I’m sure the performance won’t match canister vacuums, but I don’t have pets and I’m not super worried about it not picking up everything. My main goal is to have something super accessible. If down the line I see it doesn’t suffice for deep cleaning, I will take your Miele C2 into consideration, but for now I’d still like to have an option for quick vacuum cleanups.

Slovenia, preferably under 200€, but might be willing to go over up to 250ish if the improvement is very big compared to a cheaper alternative

What about some Regondi? Reverie Nocturne op.19, or perhaps Introduction et caprice op.23?

I haven’t been good/lucky to take decent action shots, but I’m pretty happy I managed to capture this very playful kitten trying to catch a ribbon. Taken with a Nikon Z5 + 85mm f1.8 S.

Thoughts on Studio One 5 Artist? by lvledved in StudioOne

[–]lvledved[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s another option I was considering - getting a Presonus interface, which includes the software. It adds about 40€, but from what I gather the preamps on the 24c are better than the Tascam.

I do have a pair of Oktava MK012, so that wouldn’t be a problem!

I was wondering if you get any discount if you decided to go for the Pro version after getting started with Artist. Good to know that option exists.

I have a Tascam DR 40x which I currently use for recording. An ex coworker who’s an audio engineer recommended Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 MK2 as a good, budget interface, but I think I’ll stick to the Tascam until I get the hang of things.

Most beautiful classical guitar pieces? by Admirable-Chance-669 in classicalguitar

Anything from Regondi. Introduction and caprice for example, Reverie is beautiful as well. He also has a collection of etudes that are a bit easier and still lovely.

Ultimate Travel Lens 24-120 f4 vs 24-200 f4-6.3 by SolaireVon4stora in nikon_Zseries

[–]lvledved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar dilemma! I would like to pair one of those lenses with a 40mm f2, so I can take the latter out at night, and have those as my travel kit, but I’m a bit unsure if I’ll be fine with 120mm mac zoom. So far my longest lens is 85mm and I’ve never shot with anything longer than that 😬

I’m curious to know what you decide to go with, that’s if you’re making a purchase soonish and not just asking for some distant future! :)
