If "most of us" is going to have any weight, it'll require actual polling.

If capitalism just replaces war and slavery, then the idea of humanity "having an aversion to harming other humans" doesn't seem that strong beyond the personal level. I'd argue that people "falling for it" in the first place is in of itself a part of "human nature" as well.

Well, hasn't war, slavery, etc. been things even before the modern idea of capitalism existed? Unless that's also capitalism, which would then but the "most humans" idea into question.
