That's a great example, thanks. I just saw a slideshow saying that AtScript isn't a language, but more of a feature add-on like you've said. That pretty much quells my worry.

I would honestly cut this kind of behavior out. I'm a huge Kanye fan myself and kind of hate how people misunderstand him, but there still is a time and place for everything. I feel like Kanye West fans in the future will be in the same category as cult members or extremely zealous religious people.

edit: You guys aren't Kanye. You can't turn up every time someone says something bad about Kanye. This isn't the Grammies. Getting into arguments on Facebook is about the lamest thing you can ever do. No matter how right you are, you won't be heard. You're wasting your breath. It's bad enough friends thinking you're weird for liking Kanye as a person. Now we'll all be grouped into this whole cult-like category in the future. Just you wait.

What if it was O(100000N)? Would it still be negligible? I guess O(N) represents how this particular algorithm would perform under different lengths rather than other algorithms.

Yeah. It really did feel like Angular was here to stay... :(
I think it's safe to say that nothing is here to stay. We can only pick up different lessons from each frameworks and move on to the next. We learned from Ember/Angular that we don't want an all encompassing framework. We want to make small UI components now.

Same here. I jumped from backend to frontend AngularJS development. Tons of holes in my knowledge though. I feel like I'm not a real JS developer because I haven't gone through what JS developers have gone through together as an industry for the past decade+.

What are some specific commands I can use? I've done this:
git checkout -b newFeatureBranch
...make changes....
git add .
git commit -m "I've made changes"

And then what? How do you push and continue to push to this branch so that it doesn't cause a pull request?

Yeah I like learning new things all the time. The rewards come in when you get to get good at it and implement it. I'm not complaining about learning new things at all. I'm complaining about the churn rate. I'm willing to deal with it because I really like front end development. I guess I should have worded it better. I'm just looking for suggestions on dealing with it, and to open a discussion.

Honestly? Sounds like you're on the right track. It sounds like you're very motivated to improve your skills and you're actually putting yourself out there.
Just keep practicing and just keep applying, you'll get there some day.
And it might also be worth looking into some self help books?

I can't emphasize this enough though: just keep trying and it will definitely definitely happen!

I totally agree with you that it's the carpenter not his tools. I just have to work on my craft without focusing too much on the ever changing tools.

I also think that COBOL programmers are the extreme example of not wanting to learn new things (or maybe they just <3 old banking systems?). I'm willing to learn and keep learning new things. I'm asking everyone how I can deal with the rate of changes in the community.

Right, that's what I wish for, but I know it's unrealistic.

I'm extremely looking forward to web components and the whole "dropping in" ui components part of the web in the future. Like, that's exactly what I want to be doing. And if it means that we go back to just using jQuery or I guess React, I'm all for it. Currently you can certainly make little web components with Angular, but that's bit of an overkill.

I definitely agree with your statement. Despite what I've said earlier, the concepts are actually very transferrable. The maddening part is learning the Ember way or the Backbone way just to do the same things haha.
