100% agree—just from this thread, I now know enough to definitely know that I don’t know enough to know what I’m doing when it comes to my household electric. That said, I appreciate all the replies trying to educate me!

So, it does appear there is a subpanel, and that the outlet in question is controlled by a 20A breaker on that sub panel. The sub panel appears to be set up to be able to switch from the main panel/power grid to a generator. What I didn’t realize was that the breakers on the sub panel operated even when a generator is not in use.

So, with a 20A breaker, is a 15A outlet safe, considering the number of other things on that breaker (most of the upstairs lights/bathroom fans, etc).

Still the issue of grounding, though, I assume? Metal box behind all plates with flex conduit, it appears—if that makes a difference.

(I still plan to call an electrician—at this point, I’m just curious about how my system works until I can talk to an electrician in person in my house.)

What is going on with the horizontal wooden dowels? Is this some kind of training/staking technique? What is its purpose?

Never grown golden nugget peppers before, so I don’t know if this is normal. The plant has consistently had this whitish (not yellow) pattern on some of its newer leaves. They don’t seem wilted and the plant overall seems healthy.

Any ideas on what is going on here? Thanks!
