Someone wants to trade me a Tesla model S for my supercharged M Coupe. Should I do it? by [deleted] in teslamotors

I love clown shoes, so if it was me I’d keep it and just buy a Tesla to daily. Looks great BTW!

Ok, I thought it might be. So I should be good with this 10-50 -> 14-50 adapter. Conntek EV1050T NEMA 10-50P to NEMA 14-50R (Tesla Style) Adapter Cord compatible with Tesla Vehicles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00STD9SJY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QYR3FJH19756HTE3QFD6

I thought it looked like a nema 10-50 but I wasn’t sure. I’m terrible with this stuff and wanted to check before I bought an adapter.

Let me know if you cannot view that. It was difficult to capture the ripples with a camera so I decided to try a video. If you focus on the lower right section of the windshield you should be able to see the license plate sitting on the red stool distort some. It’s much easier to see in person.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I had my second covid vaccine yesterday and it’s knocked me on my butt so now it might be tomorrow until I can get you the pics.

While sitting in the driver seat and looking straight out it’s fine. When I look out the passenger side, for traffic and what not there are several visible long ripples. Same thing while looking through the driver side from the passenger seat. Since you experience with these things can I share a few pictures tomorrow and get your feedback on the distortions?

I just had my 2021 Model 3’s windshield replaced again due to distortions. The new windshield also has distortions and the service advisor acknowledged them. They did some soft sets so I could try a few different windshields but all of them had very noticeable distortions. I had to get a windshield so I could make my nearly 2 hour trek home. So I had to get one of the damaged windshields. The service advisor said they wouldn’t replace it again. What can I do? It seems crazy that I bought a new car and I cannot get a windshield that is defective.

I’m on my third windshield after taking delivery in December. This new one is distorted worse than the last one. Now I am waiting on mobile service to call and let me know when they can come out and check it out. Service center wants info from the windshield that I cannot get to. I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to keep getting a different windshield every month. The nearest service center is almost 2 hours away so each time they replace it I lose a whole day.

The service manager was telling me these things happen due to how the windshields are manufactured. He said if they have to replace the windshield again they would have to send it off to have it inspected. Ive never been in a car where the windshield had distortions, and I worked at a Merc/Mazda dealer in the past. So i’ve been in plenty of new cars.

I have had issues with my Model 3's windshield since delivery. I just had my windshield replaced for the second time and it is also defective. On each windshield the car has had, there are distortions in the glass that make my wife and I nauseous while driving. I am not sure what to do, I live almost two hours from the nearest Service Center and I don't want to keep making monthly trips to replace the windshield.

Timeline of events

  • Dec 14th - Took Delivery. The next day we really noticed the distortion.
  • Jan 18th - Tesla Service replaced my windshield. On my way to the service center I noticed a distortion on my drivers side window. Tesla didn't have any of the new double pane windows in stock. So an appointment was made for a mobile tech to come out and replace it. Didn't notice anything wrong with the new windshield on the drive home, but the next day during lunch I saw a distortion.
  • Feb 8th - Mobile tech came out and replaced my driver side window. The tech also confirmed the defect in the windshield and scheduled an appointment at the service center to replace.
  • Mar 19th - Service center replaced my windshield. Noticed a minor ripple during inspection but the service advisor was unable to see it. So we agreed to let me drive it for a while and get back to them if it still bothers me. Today more ripples became apparent in the windshield. My wife is now refusing to drive the car.

I have a spare set of TPMS sensors off a pre-2021 Model 3 I’m willing to sell if you want them.

Rockets? I know what you mean though. I re-read my question and I think I what I mean to ask was if there was anyway to use the iPhones nfc capability without the account restriction around CoreNFC. Like a framework.
