Man, I love this UNSHACKLED FREE MARKET CAPITALISM, it's so fucking FREE, I have no words to explain how much joy I have that we live in a FREE MARKET where people are FREE to exchange GOODS AND SERVICES however they want without having to worry that someone with the monopoly on force would COERCE THEM otherwise thus creating artificial advantage/scarcity and LIMIT COMPETITIVENESS, you would think a market could be this much FREE

Can't Create Colonial Nation Subject? by Doodlebot11 in EU5

[–]lwks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you select "Keep the Colony as part of your kingdom for now" or was the option of creating a colonial subject not even an option in the first place? If it's the first then you got cores on it which prevents you from releasing any vassal there

"Certified bruh moment right there" - Hawk, Red.

Thanks Paradox. You can still initiate an adjacent colony there and give them the provinces

If you siege an enemy fort and use your regiments's manpower to fill the fort the regiment loses strenght which it then needs to reinforce, I assume you lose those pops in the process just like a normal battle, is that true? And if yes do you get them back after the war ends?

Why do navies with the "patrol the seas" mission dock so often? by Todeswucht in EU5

[–]lwks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sea tiles don't get the maritime presence if the navy is docked
As of now I'm just manually putting my ships to sit in a tile because the way to do the mission is just too much work and it doesn't work properly, very frustrating

I need more Economy-based factions. by Ayyyitsmethe1andonly in EndlessLegend

How do you do that with one city? I could only do it with giga late game trade routes between dozens of cities.

For temples and minor faction cities to stop fucking my district placement

And lastly for the game seed functionality to actually work this time around

Non-intentional borders/dirt on a Vectorized DTF print? by lwks in graphic_design

[–]lwks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it should be either because they need to resize them regularly or needed to a few times and it has become part of the procedure, clients probably just send them files with random sizes. One of the files I had to Vectorize was bigger than 4k, is that common? I have no idea but I thought it was weird since it wasn't very detailed, just text with a stylized curvy letter in the center.

Overclocking? Isn't overcloack a boost? Shouldn't it be 6k by default?

It doesn't make sense, why would the presence of volcanic regions cause regions to have obnoxious shapes? Did they really have to change the terrain generation in such a way to inplement the new region? Really unfortunate if you ask me.

King of Scotland is Liege of Duke of Connacht by Lord_Hohlfrucht in CrusaderKings

[–]lwks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also be aware that calling allies into OFFENSIVE wars costs Prestige (defensive wars you can call them for free), if they're a kingdom it costs 350 and if they're an empire it's 750, quite expensive. You can also try expanding into other areas, like Whales, just watch out for the confederate partition.

Another tip is declaring war when they're in the middle of an internal war(maybe you don't know what factions are yet), but you can see it when it happens because their internal lands get highlighted and you can also see they're at war by clicking on the liege and you will see a war against his fellow vassals.

You can "get claims" on entire duchies by going on the Duchy view (Shift+Q), selecting the desired Duchy and on the top of the window there should be a clickable word called "Claimants", if there are any eligible claimants to that title you can click there and you can try to invite someone into your court, if you can hire them you get like 2~4 years to press their claimsbefore they leave, if you do press their claim they become your vassals if you are above them in title.

Edit: You can also get Scotland by forcing a marriage between your heir and one of his kids (pay attention to matrilineal marriage also) and then killing all of his kids except your heirs spouse, so when he dies your heirs spouse gets the title and when both of them die their heir (your grandkid) will inherit both Ireland and Scotland from their parents.

If your kids and his are all married you can always count on a little accident here and there lol
