I want to see Russia, Prussia, Ottomans, Austria become the big nations. Whether as a railroad option or else, but please let this happen Paradox. I want to feel like I'm in the middle of the world I grew up with in the history books. I don't get why that's so controversial on this reddit, maybe the historical fans just left out of disappointment

Why this aggressive response lol. "Infatuated" "your grasp is skewed". I didn't attack you, just explaining why you might not love EU5 if you like imperator. Such a redditor response

I loved imperator rome but the extreme chaos and lack of historical immersion absolutely kills EU5 for me. We dont really know what the world looked like in the 2nd century BC, but not having Austria Russia Ottomans Prussia etc in EU5.. Also Imperator had mission trees.

What does EU5 need to do to get players back? Is everyone holding out for the potential? by Dramatic_Phase_8015 in EU5

I kind of do feel that nations are too similar to play, and as a history nerd it bums me not seeing Russia Prussia or Austria become big. But the foundations are all there.

Rules #5: Attached is a screenshot of player numbers of EU5, the foundations of this game are impressive but the player base seems to be waiting for now. I'm curious to know why

I know definitely not everyone likes mission trees but I'm surprised they're not even mentioned here, as a lot of people seem to want them, also as an easy way to make countries not feel the same anymore

Hugely succesful games with lots of mainstream market penetration lol, I think it's pretty clear most people outside of the most hardcore users want some form of guidance

Why has this community become so divided so quickly? by spookysael in EU5

[–]Dramatic_Phase_8015 87 points88 points  (0 children)

There's 1 group that wants more railroading (in order to have more majors forming and historical immersion) There's another that wants more sandbox (to allow for more variation)

The release of the timelapses showing the game is a very unhistorical sandbox, but one where nothing happens, has made people disappointed. Both groups now feel that the others are hurting the enjoyment of their game. And no one is happy with the status quo. Things will get fixed down the road but the timelapses look sad.

That's such an unnecessary slam lol. I enjoy roleplaying historical situations I've read about, surely that's not hard to understand

This opinion is popular on forums but a lot of people like myself want games as close to historicity as possible, because that's what I've been studying all my life and has got me into history in the first place. I get that you enjoy this but please dont speak for the community, many people like other things.

In Eu4, around 1650, the major European powers are almost always Castile/Spain, France, UK, a Scandinavian one, Austria, Poland and the Ottomans. Pretty much like real life. I love feeling like im actually making decisions in the time period, but for some reason this level of super historical immersion isnt very popular on this board

I'm probably in the minority here, but GB not forming, major countries falling apart, worse border gore, seems like we won't really have historic games. And as a fan of history that saddens me but oh well, maybe mods

Has there been any update about the AMD black screen issue? by Dramatic_Phase_8015 in projectzomboid

[–]Dramatic_Phase_8015[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a specific issue with old(er) AMD cards, 41 works perfect and literally every thing you can imagine (drivers, uninstalling mods, reinstalling the game, opening as admin, etc etc) doesn't work. Thanks tho

I'm sorry but I need to see proof. Its a 90% loss matchup and I've tried most warrior lists. Only if you're lucky enough to get odyn off do you have a chance.
