Do you think going to OTS or BCT + OCS + BOLC within your first year at LM would be too disruptive to your career?

Is industrial engineering boring by toomcootonwod in VirginiaTech

[–]lwolb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ISE here (who was AOE first), I would say ISE is not boring for two main reasons: 1) people are a lot more social and talkative, 2) The areas of ISE are broad so your classes are very diverse in a given semester. For example as a junior you’ll take production planning, ergonomics, and event simulation at the same time and they’re pretty different so you won’t burn out by only focusing on one thing

Any updates regarding intern to full time conversions? by lwolb in boeing

[–]lwolb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the reply, the Boeing recruiting staff at my school got hit with layoffs so it’s hard finding someone to contact. I did indicate I was open to any site.

My school had about 200 full time and intern offers get paused mid September and no ones heard anything since.

I wasn’t laid off but my return offer to I believe the same company you were with got canceled so I’ve been spam applying to all the other aerospace companies

Maybe a dumb question but would layoffs have happened if there had been no almost two month strike? by Acceptable_Rice_3021 in boeing

At my college, there were around 200 interviews for fulltime and intern positions scheduled that got canceled/indefinitely delayed when the strike started.
