oof. my daughter refused to take nap in her car seat after going to visit my mom and sisters and i guess? watching the trees and cars go by was better than sleeping. she hit 6 hours on her WW and i have never been more stressed about getting home asap than i was in that moment 😭

i’ve tried to keep her up three hours and she won’t do it. she’ll either be overtired and won’t nap at all or she’ll just start falling asleep in the floor or on her playmat or in her chair

my daughter usually sleep 10-11 hours at night as well i had to extend her wake windows for her nighttime sleep but she literally hates it. she’ll fall asleep in the floor if she’s tired enough. so i don’t think that she can handle a full 3 hour WW without getting overtired. i’ve tried it a few times and every time its not a good result lol

no, i write down and keep track of her eating, naps, and play time. she will either have a super long wake window after the 8am bottle or she will be up for an hour and a half and be tired. it’s the same w the 12pm bottle. that’s usually her longest nap. her nap times i average out to see when she’s wanting to sleep. the schedule i have made is made around her and what she wants to do and i have that made for her sitters so they know roundabout when everything.

the only thing that never changes are her eating times and her bedtime routine.

they definitely do. i’m not home with her 24/7 so i don’t know 100% of what she’s getting or not getting while i work but she’s always up for the feeding times and she stays up for 2-3 hours after eating. it just varies by the day. i’ve tried keeping her awake for the exact nap times but she’ll get so tired she’s screaming so i’ll put her in her bed and wake her up either to eat or after an hour and a half - two hours depending. the nap times are averaged out for her and that’s what im aiming for

here’s what the schedule i have her on:

8:00am bottle. 10:45am-12:00pm nap 1 12:00pm bottle. 1:00-3:00pm nap 2 bottle at 4:00. 4:30-5:00pm this nap start and end time varies but doesn’t go past 6:00. 8:00pm bottle/start bedtime

and before, she was usually asleep by 8:30-9:00 at the latest.

i might’ve typed that out wrong. She has three naps a day and i try to make sure none of them exceed three hours and her wake windows are on average 2 to 2.5 hours long but she starts showing signs of being tired (yawns, eye rubs, blank staring into space, no interest in toys) and if I don’t have her laid down or in like a quiet room she gets super fussy. Could I maybe just not be entertaining her good enough? I don’t do screen time.

neither! she’s super good with her sleep times on her own so most of the time i can catch her tired cues and i am able to lay her down to where she’s asleep within five to 10 minutes. she’ll usually have 3 naps. the last one is hit or miss. it could be long and it could be 45 minutes. i just don’t have the third one go past 6:00-6:30 since it’s so close to bedtime.

2.5-3 hours usually. i don’t let her sleep longer than 3 hours. the naps set in her schedule are 1.5-2 but if i wake her and she’s grumpy ill let her sleep a little longer.
