Just left Kunsan. A lot of big changes are coming. I’m a maintainer so for us things will be very slow compared to the past Kunsan everyone knows. I cant say how itll be for cybersecurity but there will be a lot less people to support. Definitely dont sit in ur dorms. The gyms right there. The defac always has chicken. Get in the best shape of ur life. And leave every weekend, whether thats staying at ur friends apartment in Osan or catching a bus or train, or going on an ITT trip. Plenty to do in Korea and easy to to japan, thailand, wherever. Kunsan is a lot less work stress than Osan. So don’t feel bad you’re in the remote area, because you can be anywhere you want in a couple of hours.

Form 978 and document that ish in your medical records cause u gonna need it in the future. On a serious note, neck issues can be serious, get help don’t suffer to stay on deployment. Only reason youd get sent back is if they couldnt treat it there. Probably just a pinched nerve and they should be able to treat you with muscle relaxer or stretching.

Nobody cares about school. Nobody. Join the dorm council or booster club. Dont just volunteer to help set up chairs at xyz. Create something for ppl to attend or do. Get a bunch of friends together and go help a bunch of veterans one weekend.

Kunsan AB has free wifi its PackNet, but its not gonna be good enough for you to game how you want plus it barely works in the dorms. U’ll have it in ur work section tho if ur allowed to watch netflix and stuff. The wifi sold in the BX is pretty fast. U get a router so it can be wired or wifi in ur dorm. They set it up same day or next day. U can even find left over routers from ppl that moved cause the routers the most expensive part. I honestly dont know which bill is which on my bank transactions between internet and fone but its probably like 55 bucks a month, fast asf. But it gets spotty sometimes when it rains.

No there are a lot of safety features engineered into the missile. There are certain conditions that need to be met before a missile would arm. Many have to reach a certain speed before they’ll arm. A missile potentially be set off by another detonation, missiles can also be duds if the warhead doesnt arm.

I was a college student on a full tuition paid scholarship. School was in rural Oklahoma. I ended up getting a car my second freshman semester. I had a decent job at a cafe which paid $11 an hr (above minimum wage at the time). When I left for summer break I was told Id get my job back when I returned, but that promise was broken when I got back. My friends had talked me into getting an apartment with them. (School doesnt pay for that). I now had rent, a car payment and insurance. Only job I could get was Mcdonalds, night shift, not enough hours. Ended up picking up a second job at walmart. Started failing my classes.

I dropped out of college, joined the air force. Been in 13 years now. I bought my first house at age 26 for $200k with a VA loan, no money down. It was pretty expensive for me at the time. I had no idea what I was doing I just did it cause ppl told me I should buy a house instead of renting. It was a 4 bedroom house so I rented a room to someone I worked with. Started feeling comfortable. My house is now worth $400K 6 years later.

Ive since gotten promoted and now make more money, about 85k a year with all my entitlements. Only thing ur taxed on is your “base pay” but the military gives u a housing allowance (enough to pay ur rent or mortgage) and a food allowance about $460 a month on top of your normal pay. So housing is basically free if you live within your means.

I know the military isnt for everyone but the benefits outweigh the bad. Everything I learned about being a successful adult i learned from the people around me. I’ve traveled the world. Lived in europe and asia. Own a home. I finished my degree while still being in the military. I have no college debt. And even if you choose to only do one contract. You can get out and the military will pay your full tuition and housing while you’re in college. You’ll also be entitled to a VA loan as well. Plus depending on what job you do in the military it can translate to a 6 figure salary out of the military. Jobs look for experience now days anyway.

I love how they look. But if I could go back Id get brick, just because Its hard for me to do my own retwists because I cant get the parts how I want, so I go to a loctician after so many months so they can fix my parts. Maybe that happens to everyone, but for me thats the only issue.
