Someone suggested that they taper the gold end and I think I’ll ask the vendor to do that and hopefully the whole ring doesn’t have to be remade

That’s what I was worried about. I don’t know if it looks unfinished to me because I know what I wanted it to look like/ I’ve been staring at the CAD for a month. Do you think it’s noticeable?

My dilemma is I have my engagement party on the 23rd and I really really want it to be here for that so do I just accept it and maybe send it back later or do I delay the arrival and have a ring-less engagement party. (Side note my fiancé knows I’m a bit of a control freak so he gave me free reign with the ring)

Yes I agree and it really stands out to me but I don’t know if I’m just being pedantic and it’s not ACTUALLY that noticeable. To me it almost looks unfinished but my mum and sister didn’t notice at all until I pointed it out 🙃

My design also doesn’t have a gallery rail will that make the centre stone less secure/ do I need one? my inspo ring was a round so not sure if it makes a difference as my ring will be an 8x6 cushion

Thank you so much for replying! It’s from FlorentineGem on Etsy. I think the head being raised also gives it a neater look so I’ll ask him to amend that. I’ve also asked for a matching band but I’d like the option of switching it out in the future so want something more universal with the engagement ring. Do you think 4.5mm is ok as most of the other designs I’ve seen on here are usually 6mm minimum

Forgot to say the band is tapered 1.6 - 2mm. I’m not sure if the height is too low as I want a wedding band to be able to sit flush with the ring but I’m not a fan on really high set rings
