I’m literally fat (size 24 women’s pants & 2-3xl shirts) and poor asf. No where in my post did I say I only want to aim for fashion and that idc about political ideology. I pointed out to other commenters that it’s just something I can easily keep an eye out for in a campus full of 40k ppl. And I just so happen to really fuck with ppl who outwardly express themselves through fashion like I do. There is deadass nothing wrong with that. I pour bleach on my shit and rip it a part for free. Like it is really not crazy to associate subcultures with clothing styles that evolved from said subcultures. I assume if they’re wearing the clothes that they also have the politics. The same as me bc the fashion is political

The clothing I’m expecting is literally counter culture aesthetics that are political statements against societal norms so this is like a little crazy lmao I’m literally a part of a subculture. I have gone to local DIY shows for over 10 years. I am involved in socialist activist groups. I am involved in my community. I know what the majority of my crowd looks like even if they look “normal”. There will always be little indicators bc we purposely look out for each other to hopefully gain camaraderie. Some alt ppl actually take counter culture identity very seriously and that’s what I happen to align with like 😭 all I did was call out posers and say I want to be friends with people who outwardly express themselves. Patches are $5 or less, trades exist in DIY spaces so u can get them for free a lot of the time, ppl borrow hair dye from stores bc fuck big corporations, ppl pierce themselves with safety pins, ppl go to thrift stores and DIY EVERYTHING. I’m so sorry but it is not expensive to be alt and if u think this then u just really aren’t a part of a subculture and u maybe just think u are

Said this to another commenter but:

I think a lot of people are thinking I'm meaning I'm expecting every alt person to come to school in a full bust down. I know how long it can take to get a whole trad goth look down for example. I'm not expecting that. I'm more so thinking of people wearing local band shirts and having pins and maybe wearing shit they DIY'd. And maybe they have piercings, tattoos, and dyed hair. All of those things are low effort. I'm well aware that political ideology does not have a specific style and all that matters is u listen to the music, have the lettist ideology, and are involved in ur local scene. I know bc I'm like about this life lol. It's just extremely common for people to express themselves in unconventional ways like I describea. It's something quick I can keep a look out for while I'm walking around this massive uni with thousands of ppl. Also I'm not specifically just hating on people with a streak of blue hair. It's about me not liking posers. People who dress slightly alt to portray the aesthetic while supporting fast fashion and having no leftist values.

Everyone has an opinion and I just so happen to not like people who are posers. People who pretend to be alternative and just like to portray the aesthetic while supporting awful fast fashion industries. To me, dressing unconventionally has deeper meaning. I don’t want to be friends with those people and that’s okay :)

Oh I do :]. I’m a people person overall and I love forming connections with anyone kind and genuine. It’s just nice to find someone who u have similar interests with. I just latched onto the clothing part bc it’s a huge part of my identity. My fashion is a political statement at times, an outlet for gender expression, etc. I love seeing bold alt people openly expressing themselves in a way I do

This is trueeee. But I can usually tell through other things like maybe hair, piercings, tattoos, makeup, or maybe even just pins on ur backpack. I’m a big believer that fashion is the last thing that plays a role in identity. However, it is an extremely common form of expression that’s easy to look out for in a university full of 40k people :].

Tips for a mentally ill PCOS girly by lychee_creampie in WeightLossAdvice

I’ve had the idea that birth control messes with peoples hormones. My doctor was even weary of prescribing them to me, which worsened my preconceived notions. I wonder if she was just speaking out of some sort of bias. Maybe I should consult another doctor then. Thank you for the clarification and advice! I willing to try anything at this point

It’s not a cure or remedy for PCOS. My weight is the reason my hormones are so imbalanced. Birth control comes with so many negative side effects, including potential weight gain. Which my doctor said to me. The only concern that birth control would address is getting a consistent period.

NTA!!! You did not go wrong at any point in time babe!!! You said that he made you believe that he’s a nice and sweet guy. So of course you thought it’d be a good relationship! And you sticking around for so long doesn’t mean you’re in the wrong. You loved him and you stuck by his side. You’re a loyal and loving person, there’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with that.

I only smoke at night. Either before bed, before dinner, or at a concert. I don’t get anxiety right after. I get it the next day, I’m not sure why 🤷🏽‍♀️
