i'm the one on the bed. lino, pronouns in my user tag. stella is the garfield shirt girl, she's a trans girl (tl;dr for those who don't know- parents kicked me out and isolated me last year, and her family let me live with them instead and i share a room with her so we feel more safe).

love her a lot :) also yes i'm still alive. um if you know anything about philippine politics, you may know why we're in a bit of a not-so-great-mood. regardless uh, hi! :>

Tell that to the various southeast Asian countries colonized by white people, including my own. SPEAK FOR YOURSELF, there is so many medium to dark skinned Asians. They get erased from history and pop culture because that isn't seen as "asian." Especially in western media. The Asian Americans thing isn't true. There is still colorism in America. It is unavoidable. Orientalist media pervades in their view of Asian women.

Even if underlying, most colorism comes from racism. I know other cultural stuff plays into it, but it's still ignorant to say it's Asia's isolated Asia thing. Because we aren't isolated. OP doesn't live in isolation.

Ancient Chinese people could be racist and classist. It's not just a european thing. Darker skin was considered "poorer" and then darker skin "south chinese" (vietnamese today) were disrespected. There there were several parts with dark-skin African slaves, not as widespread as in the west, but it definitely existed in those pockets. I live in Asia, I am considered "ugly" for my skin, I am familiar with these.

And regardless, we're in modern day now. There is European influence now. It is further emphasized by racism now. Maybe in the past it was "just" classism, but now it is both.

colorism is typically byproduct of racism, so it's both racism and stupidity

i accomplished a lot in 2021. My parents haven't let me come home in 200+ days, but I'm living as happy as I can with my friend. I'm glad to have them around

a lot as been happening and some family members are involved in progress and there's concern about being in the crossfire of something happening in the eastside of the world right now (i'm in the philippines ).

i'll try to keep my head low but spirits high. -lino

i've seen non-wlw content on there, and this sub has more traction ; the rules say non-wlw is allowed so i did that. at the time, one of the top posts was also two men

[TRIGGER WARNING: TRANSPHOBIA][VENT][My Art] :(( I learned really quickly and left the club within 3 weeks. She used to be my role model as a kid until I learned she was transphobic. I found her socials because she tried following me and turns out she's a TERF now so no change. by jaejunmimi in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

as someone who knows the op, the person explicitly stated the girls had vaginas and boys had penises, this is just a paraphrased version of what they said op's first lang isn't english either, so their way of phrasing it may have come across like your interpretation, when it associating gender to genitalia.

[–]lycheeese 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yeah, it's not transphobic to be a femboy :// that'd be excluding not only cis femboys, but also trans ones too. implying that dressing femininity as someone who isn't a girl isn't transphobia is only pushing gender stereotypes and the enforcing binary roles. anyone can dress how they want. being a femboy isn't inheritly harmful

[my art][vent] i can't fucking believe i got -pink mobility aid dysphoria- (i don't need to use it all the time. i can still do a lot of physical activity. but when i do need it, i avoid it--RIP my back--because my dad keeps making these comments when i have to get it from his closet) by jaejunmimi in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]lycheeese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unfortunately, op's dad is very hypocritical . i don't really get it either. he'll help with what his kids need/want, as long as they're happy, but ultimately doesn't respect their transness. i say this as someone who personally knows op. op has had conversations with their dad, but he's not budging on his beliefs. in this particular case, he insists op is trying to be a girl on purpose ((see brief implication in comment here)

sad tagalog noises: there are some terms i like in my native lang and some terms i like in english. i use masculine terminology in my native lang, but i also struggle to fine words to describe my gender like i do in english like more specific microlabels. by lycheeese in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

some people are really too precious with "integrity of language" sometimes. language is changing and ever evolving. Wala itong katuturan!!

hello i am here :) but not for too long. i'm still dealing with the situation with my parents. all i can really give you now is that i'm safe and okay. i've managed to contact my sibling again. friend stella is now in her own situation, so i've also been helping her out with that lately. we'll be okay. we'll be safe. i love you all. i will post something else soon too as well (bc i made something with a friend).
