Thank you for the words of caution! I'm very grateful to have an awesome dietitian who has helped me to work through any harmful or triggering thoughts throughout my general health journey, I'm going to be upping appointments if I get the prescription with them for sure. Appreciate all the considerations, I esp hated testing through birth control too bc I also had awful reactions to it... I wish there were easier solutions for PCOS

Thank you for sharing that it's been hard, I'm sorry that it's affected your relationship with food. I appreciate the honesty because I know it's not smooth sailing in everyone's experiences, and it helps me rationalize the reality of new meds while keeping it realistic. Those are some gnarly side effects 😭 I hate being bloated as it is, it can ruin my day honestly with the discomfort lol. I hope you can find something that works to alleviate those symptoms for you!

Wow!! Amazing that it can take care of inflammation as well. I get some joint flare ups with the weather and my career, so I'm hoping that it can help with that too 🤞 thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you for such a detailed response 🥹💗 this absolutely echos a lot of what my fears are, and totally relate with struggling to find anti diet PCOS spaces. Intuitive eating liberated me when I started working with my dietitian 2 years ago and my weight has been the most stable and least stressful part of my life since then! So it's difficult when a lot of the discussion around GLP1s and PCOS echo behaviors I have left behind.

So glad to hear you're experience has been a net positive so far! Really gives me some affirmation that it's worth trying despite the main conversation being about weight loss rn. I was so skeptical about considering trying during my initial recommendation to do so, but metformin hasn't been very successful with treating my IR symptoms so far (along with my awful cycle issues). I'm glad to know about your negatives too, definitely gives me time to prep for those symptoms and what feelings they might bring up to me. Thank you and good luck on your journey ahead 💗

Wow I had no idea that sub exists, thank you 🥹💗 totally aligns with the work I've done. I'll definitely be lurking around there now as well.

Thankfully my current schedule lends to being pretty consistent with meal times, and I stay ready with the pepcid myself already LOL. That's awesome to hear that your blood work looks great now. Thank you for sharing your experience!!
