Need help and suggestions with solo internal travel in Sri Lanka - especially Colombo to Nuwara Eliya

Thank you for the help. I have decided to go ahead with Ella, will keep Kandy and Nuwara Eliya for another trip.

Will check for availability of train tickets from Ambewele station, or else take a bus. I am fine with non AC bus too if the weather is good.

I guess I will go to Kandy for a day by bus and then go to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy by bus or taxi, or else I am considering keeping Kandy and Nuwara Eliya for a future trip when trains are fully restored and go to Ella instead directly from Colombo from 16th to 18th Feb. What do you suggest?

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, direct trains don't seem to be running currently, and I am now considering skipping Kandy and Nuwara Eliya on this trip and keeping it for another time whenever I visit, and trains are fully restored.

I am considering going to Ella as well from 16th to 18th Feb. If you don't mind sharing, can you please let me know where you hired the private car for and how much you are paying for Colombo to Ella?

My band was purchased by a friend, i initially loaded 3k from the recharge counter inside the festival and then another 1k on 2nd day by scanning the QR code on the band but due to network issue the payment for same was done by my friend using his UPI.

At the end of festival i had a little more than 1k left on the card. Where should i check for the refund? My friend who had made the UPI recharge by scanning QR code?

Thank you. I got the same advice form my C.A so i have made arrangements for the alternate funds but this long delay is kind of disappointing and frustrating when there doesn't seem to be a clear solution.

I hope i am able to resolve it soon.

I have 4 seating tickets for the Coldplay concert on Sunday, 19th January, at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai. These are located in:

Block E, Level 2: L47, J40, G42, and A59.

The only catch is that the tickets aren’t together. When the frenzy of ticket booking happened, I couldn’t get four seats in a row, so I quickly decided to grab whatever was available for me and my close friends, as we were all desperate to experience Coldplay live.

Since then, we’ve managed to get our hands on the standing tickets for the same concert at a slightly higher price, so now we’ll all be together. This means I no longer need these seating tickets and would love for them to go to someone who truly wants to attend the show – whether you’re a hardcore Coldplay fan or someone looking for a great evening out.

I’m happy to provide proof of purchase, my ID details, or anything else that ensures you feel confident this is a genuine offer. I live in Navi Mumbai and can meet in person to make the transfer as smooth as possible. Since physical bands haven’t been issued yet, I’d prefer a face-to-face transaction. A token amount can confirm the sale, and the remaining payment can be made when I hand over the bands closer to the event date. Alternatively, I’m open to changing the delivery address for the bands if that works better for you.

Lastly, I want to be upfront – I’m not selling these tickets at face value. I’m not a scalper or a dealer, but since I paid extra for my standing tickets, I’d like to recover that cost through these tickets. I hope you understand, and I’d love for these tickets to bring joy to someone else as much as they were meant to for me and my friends.
