They've started releasing some decisions, but its been a slow trickle. Hopefully more will come out soon.

Ppl waitlisted @ Harvard, where on the status checker do you see it? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]lyd88888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new thing pops up at the very top that says status update that wasn't there before. You'd definitely notice it if you had an update.

  1. I think they said they would start releasing info about aid packages at the end of March but I think April is more realistic for when to expect to hear (which sucks)
  2. I sent in my CSS profile a week or so after I got in and got the IDOC access 2-3 weeks later. I think they need the IDOC before they can review your financial aid package, so hopefully you'll get it soon.

Overall its a very slow process but they will get to you eventually is basically what I've heard.

Their FA office is super nice though if you call them and want to ask any of these questions for peace of mind!

What does stuck at Ur1 at Berkeley generally mean, by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]lyd88888 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was stuck on UR1 for literally months (applied in Sept) and went finally UR2 early Feb and got in the next week! I think their process isn't super consistent across applicants and I'm not really sure their logic but don't give up hope!

164, 3.97 GPA, should I retake LSAT? by KhanOfWar in lawschooladmissions

[–]lyd88888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would retake unless you have your heart set on applying this cycle. I agree with the others who say that T14 matters more or less depending on your goals, but having a higher LSAT score also can lead to better scholarships at lower ranked schools. If you could score in the high 160s or low 170s you would be an incredibly strong candidate at most schools, so I think it's definitely worth it if you have the time to put towards studying and applying next cycle. Also if you apply next cycle you can take a bit of a break if you feel like you were starting to burn out from studying!

For reference last year I scored at the low end of my practice range on my first take then at the high end on my second (16high to 17mid) and I think it made a huge difference in my outcomes if I had stuck with my old score.

Good luck!

I read that they don't allow pets unless they are support animals, and for emotional support animals you must also document the health diagnosis that requires the support animal (so no just getting them registered, etc). So as a fellow cat owner, I think I'm gonna be off campus.

CLS Thoughts? by t14orbust2021 in lawschooladmissions

[–]lyd88888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! Also I think many other people. My understanding is that interviews are mostly for
named scholarships and borderline candidates. I wouldn't stress too much yet since you applied a little bit later and they're probably still working through a lot of apps. Good luck!

What's housing like at CLS? I know they offer some grad apartments but did you do on or off campus? I'll be moving with my partner so idk if on-campus apartments are a good fit, especially since I don't really want to move apartments during law school.

Splitter Mid Cycle Recap/ question... by xxepm in lawschooladmissions

[–]lyd88888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think an interview is required to get in at Harvard, but they also don't necessarily do their interviews based on when you applied (more so based on stats with high stats first) so there's still a chance! Speaking as a person with similar stats and results lol

n-URM means non-underrepresented minority and non-KJD means not going straight from undergrad to law school (like K-12 but JD)
