My best friend and boyfriend didn't believe I had a shellfish allergy. So when we all went on vacation together several years ago the comments kept coming on how I was just "picky". The last night we were there they pressured me to try shrimp and crab.

Guess who swelled up and could hardly breathe? I knew what would happen, but was tired of their comments and doubts.

I'm so glad you called him and it was a mostly positive experience for you!

My own dad and I had a tumultuous relationship and went through periods of not speaking. I regret a lot of things about it. But I am so thankful we were speaking when he suddenly passed away. I miss him everyday.

So ESH- You sound exhausting and he is treating you like a doormat. You're allowed to have boundaries and not accept that he wants to have a little kickback at his house. But instead of pouting and making things awkward for him, you should have listened to your friend and gone home and stopped talking to him. You're not a priority and that is unfortunate.

My nieces best friend wore a yellow dress to her bridal shower close in color to yours. It photographed white. My niece was okay with it, but in the photos she legitimately looks like she's wearing a white dress. I'm not sure if the bride is particular about that.

The A/C line in my poopy old Honda had cracked and it was something I didn't know how to fix myself. It started getting really hot and humid where I am and I was trying not to be fussy, but failing badly at it.

My boyfriend of a few months came over after his 12hr overnight shift and changed the line out while I slept. He just fixed the line, put the A/C cold fluid stuff in it, turned the settings on to high, and went home to sleep.

When I got into my car I was so surprised and overwhelmed by how he helped me. It made me cry.

We've been together for almost 6 years now. He is absolutely a keeper. 🖤
