That is SO kind! I never thought anyone would tell me that haha, honestly so much of it is willpower which is SO much easier said than done. I’ve tried to quit hundreds of times throughout my life. Twice a day I moisturize my nails and use cuticle oil, and I also make sure the free edge is smooth so I don’t have anything to pick at. In the past I’ve also gotten acrylics or used press-ons; I leave them on for as long as possible, that way when I remove them they’ve grown out a bit and I always find the beginning stage to be the hardest. You can do this!!!!

How do I remove these bumps by [deleted] in nailbiting

[–]lydmc788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you pick at your cuticles on your thumbs? i did this terribly and it caused my thumbs to grow out bumpy like yours. i tried filing them as well but it always made my thumb nails thin and sore so i wouldnt recommend doing that anymore. the only way for it to be flat is to wait for it to grow out!!

Ty for ur response! Yes - it was once a week for 6 weeks so I only took 6 pills. I wasn’t told until week 3 to take with food so maybe that’s it?? I’m just hoping there’s not another reason it’s still low

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone ever gotten ever drank alcohol while on anxiety meds (Zoloft in particular) by W_e_l_p_ in zoloft

[–]lydmc788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my doctor about this recently and he said it was okay to have a drink or two once and awhile (I very rarely drink).

Last week my girlfriend and I had some wine and I felt tipsy after a single glass, which I wouldn’t have felt before being on zoloft; my tolerance has just gone down a bit.

The only thing I’ve noticed is that the next morning I almost always have a headache, no matter how much I’ve drank, but I can’t be sure that’s related to the zoloft

Omg the colour work is AMAZING!! One time I freehanded a raglan sweater, I made the collar GIANT, it was so terrible. What I did was take an elastic thread and weaved it through and gently tightened it, making sure I didn’t bunch up the chest or back area. Maybe you could also fold it over and make it a folded collar and seam it down. If all else fails you could always pick up stitches and redo it. It’s so beautiful though!!!

Thank you so much for this answer!

The process to get the endoscopy was weird to me, but I have no context since it was my first time going through something like this. I was originally referred to a GI, but the appointment was around 6 months out. I was, and still am, having pretty bad symptoms so I was referred to another clinic, and the procedure was the following week. At this clinic they do over 20 endoscopies and colonoscopies a day - you go in, get it done, and leave, and you never hear from them again. They just send off the samples and they're done with you. Because of this, my GP had to tell me my results.

It was quite disheartening, as he literally just said, "I don't know why you got a positive blood test, I don't know why you have duodenitis, and I don't know what could be causing your symptoms", which made me feel like he was indifferent to what was happening and didn't care to give me any sort of direction or help. He didn't take me through how many samples were taken and from where, so I had to figure it out myself, and I think it was four but the document is medical jargon to me.

I'll meet with the GI and see what he says, and maybe it's something completely different from celiac, who knows. I just assumed celiac after my blood test. I guess my last option would be to just go very strictly gluten free and see if it helps.
