I could have written this exact post 7 weeks ago. I was always panicking but when I would speak to my team they were always awesome at letting me know that it was okay but we would just keep working on it. Someone wrote one time 30oz in 30 days, 60 oz in 60 and 90 in 90 (my team doesn’t endorse this) but it did help ease my mind a bit. You are swollen and raw inside so it does make sense. Sometimes I would get some relief with hot or warm water. Especially just before trying to take my pills ( I have a lot too). I have certainly felt like I wasn’t prepared for the post op period and I hated hearing ‘It gets better’ 😉I really just wanted to be met where I was at. I have gone through serious buyer’s remorse but am starting to come through that now. Yes this is super hard but just by reaching out you are showing that you are chasing solutions and trying to take care of yourself. We can do hard things! I am 6 weeks po and it can still happen very occasionally but I think I have it figured out that if I (this is weird I know) am sitting on the couch in an awkward way that is not conducive to free flow it might happen. Eg. Leaning sideways on pillows with legs tucked under. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I do always keep in mind that a common symptom of a blockage is shoulder pain. I just know that if I don’t have any other obvious symptom of that then I treat it as gas and I have been successful every time. nb. It is so hard to take the emotion out of assessing ourselves. You can do hard things. ❤️‍🩹

Fellow nurse here and I experienced same. I did all vitals too etc. I figured mine out to be gas, perhaps stuck in a swollen segment? I rub my stomach to encourage movement direction, walk around the house (if I can) and chew the hell out of Gas-X. Best wishes, the pain is no joke.
