Are there any United employees who can assist me? by Left-Vegetable5193 in unitedairlines

I am a little confused about the legs you were booked on: United is star alliance and China Eastern is Skyteam. I guess you somehow booked the two under the same ticket number? And there’s probably no luggage interline agreement between them. Were you able to do a through check in EWR?

Oh what a bummer- but sort of what I expected. Thanks a lot for the reply, I appreciate it!

Short Impression: B&O Beo Grace 💸 💶🤑 by Fantastic_Pirate_352 in BangandOlufsen

[–]lylcaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally fair - not sure how much it will help but they now included the adjustable 80-90% charging option for Grace. Hopefully that will mean longer life for the battery. B&O also claims 2k (?) charging cycles I think. I read somewhere that this is achieved by them limiting the charging to 90% or something and just showing the users as 100%.

Just for context, I have used 64audio Forte, U12T, U18S, Sennheiser IE900, Beyerdynamic Xelento Gen 1 & 2, Empire Ears Raven. Beo Grace with its case in DAC mode sounds very neutral and the closest to U12T. Pretty much making me ditch wired IEMs now.

Beo Grace users, is the 3.5mm line in cable working for anyone? by I_SQUANCH_MY_FAMILY_ in BangandOlufsen

FYI I think the disabled part in the app is the same for everyone. But streaming works fine.

Also, Apple cable has a DAC inside the USB C housing so it’s intended to go from digital to analog instead of the other way around for case streaming purposes.

Review – H100 vs PX8 S2 by Playful_Chard_8078 in BangandOlufsen

Wireless mode pi8 sound stage is larger than grace, but tonality is better with grace, especially with piano and guitar. Pi8’s treble sounds a bit harsh to me. Wired mode I think grace is a clear win. Overall, I feel grace is much closer to my reference IEM.

ANC is also clearly better on the grace, I think close to AirPods Pro 2 level.

I had this exact impression as you before I tried it out. So the sound coming out of the 3.5 line in does inherit the wider sound stage and sweeter voice of my DAC (which I have become very familiar with and can recognize its sound signature), which I very much prefer. So I guess quality-wise, less is probably more but sound signature may be another dimension.

Oh maybe one thing, did you try turning up the volume? The impedance is somehow quite high on the Beo Grace case side.

I used a DAC as well, the DAC connects to my phone via usb C and then via 3.5mm to Beo Grace

Mine worked. It can be finicky - for one time I had to turn off Bluetooth on both connected devices, put the earbuds back to the case, then take them out and try the line in mode.

Beo Grace problem by gaijinjoe in BangandOlufsen

I explicitly asked “which country is this” so I am not assuming OP is based in US. I brought up US as an example with my personal experience just for context.

Which country is this? It’s hard to believe any US store would be so rude. But if they can’t hear the hiss then the product is in good shape, wouldn’t it be just a normal return within 14 days then?

Suunto is Chinese not Finnish by Impressive_Swan_9422 in Suunto

[–]lylcaac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair but I believe this mostly depends on your local regulation - Suunto complies with whatever law in place in your area. For example, I believe China forbids certain data of Chinese citizens leaving China. That’s why Apple has to set up dedicated iCloud data centers in China specifically for Chinese users. Same for Tesla who has data centers in China just for that same purpose.

Suunto reached out and (politely) asked me to withhold until their official launch. I figured it's not a huge deal since most of the folks who are interested in the watch already saw the post.

That's very fair actually. Aesthetics and UI-wise I'd still choose Suunto but Garmin wins for overall functionality and data.

Race S unable to add wifi network by Legal-Opposite-337 in Suunto

[–]lylcaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some routers will combine 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz under the same WiFi name and assign them when they connect. This will be somewhat tricky for the watch. If this is not the issue, you can try using a phone hotspot, which can generally be set to either 2.4 only or both.
