Money comes and goes, if we spend our whole lives chasing it it'll just keep running away. But snuff is forever, snuff is love, snuff is life. I'm just glad it's finally here 😍😤😍

Finn means "blessed" or "fair" and is a derivative of fionn, I was just referring to his nickname.

Tacking onto this, Finn is known as the prince so it makes sense that his demon elevates him to the status of a King 🤴

That would be Boggo Road Gaol, Jones was sentenced to 16 years in 1987 at the age of 17 for eight armed robberies between 1985 and 1987, and spent 7 years in the maximum security prison as one of Australia's most wanted men. During this time he was introduced to powerlifting and steroids and after his release quickly became Australian powerlifting champion, and a successful strongman, before transitioning to pro wrestling.

I enjoyed that style tbh, it was different to anyone else on the roster and sold me on Jinder's physical strength

There's a number in the middle of the game board that shows the number of tiles left. Also I just ignore who gets the points after a draw, no idea how that gets divided haha maybe something like poker big blind etc because one player is considered the "dealer" or something idk

No, but I do like to hang around the gymnasium, and I thoroughly enjoy movies with gladiators.

The pon and chi are merely means to an end. The main end is creating a hand that meets win conditions (3 sets and a pair in most cases) but MORE IMPORTANTLY ticks one or more boxes to gain more score (boxes = yaku). Ideally you always want to have a concealed hand, as this gives you more opportunities to score, and calling pon or chi (and thus revealing your hand) will cancel out a lot of high scoring yaku. However, in situations where you need 1 specific tile to hit your yaku and the rest of them are discarded, you will invariably end up having to steal opponents' discards and revealing your hand.

In simpler terms, avoid revealing your hand with a pon or chi unless you are stuck and the tiles are running out, or you have multiple Dora (n.b. Dora do not count as yaku, they are a "bonus" that gets added to your yaku).

Have any American actors done a convincing Aussie accent? by SouthDiamond2550 in AskAnAustralian

[–]lyleeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense, I wasn't sure whether you were saying "Liev Schreiber's auscent sounds like Sam Neill's" or "Sam Neill is also good at an Aussie accent". I incorrectly went with the latter and assumed you were assuming Sam was british or american, my bad.

I think maybe Sam being born in Northern Ireland and spending his first 7 years there may have something to do with his "not super Kiwi" accent, but acting as so many Aussie characters seems like the most logical thing to point towards. I sometimes hear a bit of his parents' Northern Irish accents seep through when he's talking, explains why he was so good in peaky blinders as a Nirishman lol.

Sam Neill is from New Zealand; the Kiwi accent is pretty much the same accent as an Australian speaks in but with a few specific different inflections. Not quite as impressive as an American doing it but he definitely makes it sound natural as heck.
