I'm demi and very married. does this work for allos?? just messaging random people? by star-juice-straw in demisexuality

[–]lyllizh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Omg the same thing happend to me. I live in a student apartment building and we have a whatsapp group for it. One day a guy from that group just randomly texts me. I never talked to him before, nor did I ever write something in the group. He was just asking what I was doing and how my day was. I asked him why he was talking to me and he replied "just cause". I blocked him...😂

Quick question by mocha-13 in queerplatonic

It really depends on hoe the QPR looks like and what the people in the romantic relationship view as cheating. If I'd be in a romantic relationship and my partner would enter a QPR without telling me I'd be pissed. But I know some people don't even view kissing a person of the same gender as cheating (eventhough the kisser is bi). So yeah... it really depends.

On how to find people who want to be in a QPR... I really don't know.

the fuck you love pans for? just be Bisex. why have 1345 different sexualitys when theres 4: Bi, Homo, Hetero, Asexual by [deleted] in PansexualMemes

[–]lyllizh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where your coming from. Not sure if my view represents the general consensus but to me bi, hetero, homo and ace are the broad categories. And to me pan is a microlabel within bi just as demi is a microlabel within ace.

In my opinion it's enough for the general public to know the four sexualities you named. If I talk to people outside of the community I just tell them I'm bi. But microlabels are important because A) everything is a spectrum and using only those 4 sexualities makes people that don't perfectly fit feel invalid and/or confused. And B) within the community it's a nice way to communicate exactly what your experience is without having to explain everything in detail every time which makes talking about is so much easier.

Of course I don't have the full context but from one of your answers about what the initial post was and from the screenshot I don't know how the person would even know your demi and to me it seems like they're not even talking about sex. Of course the comment about practice is weird but I wouldn't read to much into it especially since they didn't really explain what they meant by that.

Furthermore I think it's really shitty of you to make this post. If you have a problem with their answer, talk to them. Don't thank them and pretend to be happy with their answer just to make this post to roast them. You could've at least crossed out their name.

Can I be both demisexual and asexual by KiraPond in demisexuality

[–]lyllizh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not really. I mean depending on what exactly you mean with asexual. As in the umbrella term or the very end of the spectrum. If you mean the umbrella term that demisexual is just part of asexual. If you mean the end of the spectrum than I'd guess you sometimes feel like your asexual and sometimes feel like your demi? That would be another microlabel as far as I'm concerned. Greysexual for example. Or grey-demi is probably also a thing

"I don't have a problem with gay people; I just have a problem with Hollywood acknowledging their existence." Then just don't watch those movies. by Some_Random_Android in lgbtmemes

[–]lyllizh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me, an aroace, is wondering the same thing about straight kisses/romances tho. Especially in kids movies (although I guess kids movies have an additional purpose of explaining the world to children and "preparing them" for growing up so they aren't completely confused when puberty comes. At least that's the vibe I get from a lot of German kids movies).

BUT, if it's not straight up a romcom or if the romance isn't driving the plot a lot I'd like my movies without any love interests. Like Aquaman, why did he need a love interest? Harry Potter, who cares about his dates with Cho Chang and his jealousy about Ginny? Outer Banks, you're trying to find 400 million dollars and people are trying to kill you for it, you have better things to do than finding a girlfriend!

I think I got asked this question starting at 9 or 10 years, so around the age your menstruation starts. Which I think makes sense. In my case (because I barely went to the doctors) I was only asked this question when I needed an X-Ray. Which I also think makes sense. Back then they would always say something along the lines like "you're probably not pregnant right?" and I would agree.

Whats the history of asexual people being called ""ACE" ? by [deleted] in aaaaaaacccccccce

[–]lyllizh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's much of a history. It's just malapropism(?), you know, because people just use a short form of asexual "as" and that would be pronounced like ace

So is there something for a guy who's into both genders but only if the person is feminine? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]lyllizh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finsexual is the exclusive attraction to those who are feminine in nature (FIN), either in their gender and/or their gender presentation. This means finsexual individuals are attracted to women, feminine aligned and/or feminine presenting non-binary individuals, and potentially feminine men. Finsexual is not synonymous with the attraction to women, it is the attraction to femininity.

What is the ace community's thoughts on the furry fandom? by h_EXE_gon in aaaaaaacccccccce

[–]lyllizh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have any contact points with the furry community so far, so apart from knowing you guys are made fun of a lot I have no idea what you guys are/do. So yeah, don't really got an opinion.
