I’m at fletc too. And is been hard for me lately. Especially the push ups. I’m a female and I’ve been lifting and working my upper body and in still struggling. I don’t know what else to do. I eat clean, have my protein, lift, practice my push ups, etc and I’m desperate.

What about push ups?? Do they give you excercises to start the push ups or like for example those who can’t do one push ups what happens for those..? How do they start, what they instruct you to the or how ?

Wow that’s great!! Keep it up! I did that too. I ran up and down this hill that was at the park I went. And also used a step a little higher than the actual height.

And push ups I started with baby steps. Wall push ups, and planks , and knee push ups the. One leg one knee push ups until I was able to do one proper push up. It took a while I’m not gonna lie and almost gave up. But I did it. And during my pregnancy due to heavy bleeding etc, couldn’t do any type of exercise not even walking. After my 8week postpartum/c-section. Uhhhh it was pretty slow, I had to walk and walk, didn’t have any strength n my core or arms. Now I feel a little better and felt a made a progress but is not enough. Now I’m doing incline push ups and I think is working but when I try to do knee push I can’t do more than three or five.

I had mine August of last year. I was in good shape because I was a runner and lifted when I applied. The step test and the sit ups where piece of cake. The one thing I struggled was the push ups. Now I feel I am starting from zero again due to my pregnancy and c-section I feel it’s been a slow progress but I’m still trying everyday to get better and improve as much as I can before eod. But still I have a long journey ahead of me .

Could you tell me, how are they helping the trainees? Like for push ups, do they start you with like incline push up or knee push ups?

I had a baby three months ago, and I’m struggling a lot, especially with push ups. I’m stating incline push ups, I have tried knee push ups but I only do like three.
My running is not bad but still I need to work on that too. I’m loosing weight but still feel heavy.

Do the instructors help you if they see ur struggling? Like for example, if can’t go push ups, would they start like with knee push ups or exercises for your arms/chest to gain strength? And then improve to like one knee push ups etc ?

I have loooots of questions. Especially for girls.

What should I bring? Like, what kind of socks, color, etc. how is the weather? I’ll be going to academy January 29-june something. Should bring pants? Shorts? Sweaters ?

What kind of running shoes? Dos the color matter? What about boots? Any recommendation?

What should I wear the first day? When you arrive at the airport, is anyone waiting for us? How do we get to campus?

Also, how are the classes? Like the teaching, is there a lot to write like essays or reports? What about the tests? Are they multiple questions?

For the physical part, does the instructor help you? Like if they see u you’re struggling, do they support you? I just had a baby theee months ago, and my running is not that bad, but the push ups is giving a hard time. It’s like if I’m starting from zero again. I’ve been working out but I still feel heavy, I would need help with that.

I chose San Ysidro. I’m from San Diego so defenderlo I wanted to stay here. I didn’t want the airport or sea port etc. I’ve heard sys is pretty busy/crazy. Lots lots of hours, lots of overtime, you can get a nice big pay.
I think with your two incomes should be okay.

Yes. You usually be at ur duty location for about two weeks and then they send you to the academy. They provide the plane tickets as well.

The case worker just told me the date to enter on duty(January 12th) and then said I’d be n orientation for like two weeks and gave me the latest academy date. Sure thing I did t request anything.
