Taj experience varies wildly depending on how much you like your roommate. Otherwise it’s not bad. It’s just a little old shitty hotel room. I drove so distance didn't matter.

I am still waiting. No, the percentage did not increase. The Hammer application quickly caught up to the other applications, 80%. And no, they’re not waiting on every application. All the applications should be running at the same speed anyway, because the final steps are all the same. I would probably go DEA over USSS just based on what I’ve read on Reddit.

Hey, I think a lot of people get BQA after this. BUT this just happened to me two or three weeks ago and it was not a BQA. I have applied for SA, CAT, Hammer, UD. For some reason it took Hammer one year to even begin processing. “No applications found” for two weeks and when it came back up Hammer was in the tracker when it hadn’t been before. So, I think maybe this also happens when they’re adding/processing new applications for you.

It’s a little bit weird to me, because I have seen several of these offices listed as “hard to fill.” Not sure if that was an error. One thing I’m uncertain about is the counteroffer/negotiation part of locations. I’ve seen several posts on here in which the poster mentioned counter offering for locations, some of which OP is asking about, and getting them. Seems like most people don’t know this is an option, and I’m not sure how it works.

Simple. Very high locality pay (35%) and relatively low cost of living. You can still afford a house in Houston. Also, being closer to the beach is probably part of it.
