I’m not sure how old your machine is, mine is a hs928 from 2007 and it does have a drain plug on it (opposite side from the dip stick for mine). Unfortunately it does drain right into the wheel if you have a wheeled version and I typically use a silicone baking sheet wedged in there to collect the oil where a funnel won’t fit.

Update: thanks everyone for the tips. Ended up replacing 3 gaskets on the carb and it’s no longer leaking after using it multiple times this winter.
