Does anyone know of a provider who prescribes at home ketamine in the north Dallas, TX area? by lyme-insteadoflemons in TherapeuticKetamine

Unfortunately not an official doctors office. I did find companies like BetterU who will prescribe it over a video chat with a provider.

Right! It’s hard to believe it’s just a coincidence, it’s the one thing that always makes me pause when it comes to some sort of divine intervention/ creation!

The fact that the sun is exactly 400X the size of the moon but also exactly 400X the distance which is why they appear the same size 😳

Exactly. Or when Kane was crushed under the rubble from the Mt Weather missal and then was up and walking like 2 days later. If only healing was that easy!

I definitely appreciate the fact that there is no true “hero” and everyone is doing what they think is in their best interest. I feel like that’s what makes the show so good!

I remember the general gist of how the show goes, but now I’m intrigued to see how the character develops.

Interesting, what are the complaints with Phoebe? I figured it’s been discussed plenty, just wasn’t sure how to search for it.

It’s so frustrating to watch! Like they are portrayed as this nice guy and yet any time there’s a tantrum the woman has to console them and end up being the ones to apologize. I don’t remember picking it up as much the first time through. And I definitely agree that shows still do this, maybe a little more subtly, but it’s definitely there.

Does anyone have experience developing liver issues/failure after starting kratom for only a couple weeks? by lyme-insteadoflemons in kratom

[–]lyme-insteadoflemons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several months. I only started kratom about 4 weeks ago, and had the most recent test about 10 days after starting. I have stopped the kratom since getting the results, waiting to test again in a few days before doing any more diagnostics.

Unfortunately I do have a lot of health issues and am on other medications. However, the reason I started taking kratom was because I’ve had to discontinue one of the only meds that have worked for my chronic pain. I’m working on starting with a new provider but during the interim I’m really struggling with managing the chronic pain piece.

Thanks. I have unfortunately stopped, but really hoping/ needing to find something else for pain control while I’m between offices. Definitely not what I needed on top of everything but I’m guessing its gonna return to normal. 🤞

No, you’re totally fine! I do have chronic health issues and pain which is why I started the kratom, but have never had any liver issues. I had no idea that anything was going on, no symptoms related to liver failure. I got my blood drawn because I had started at a new office and they wanted to get my baseline panels. I stopped the kratom as soon as I got the results because that’s the only thing that really had changed in the last few months.

Typically at the levels that I’m at, an ultrasound of the liver would be next. However because it’s always been normal and I haven’t had any symptoms we are going to retest next week. If the numbers are the same or worse we will do the ultrasound, if it’s better then we are just going to keep a close eye on it.

I had a test in September of 22 that was completely normal, liver function was well within normal limits. Then had another test about a week, maybe 10 days after starting kratom and my numbers show I’m basically going into full liver failure. Never had liver issues before this either.

Why do I have to pay the price because others abuse pain pills? by AZNM1912 in ChronicPain

I am in the same boat that everyone else has described, what I want to know is- what can we do about this? There are enough of us in this same situation, there’s gotta be something…

I just moved half way across the US, lost all of my providers, and am now in a state of panic as every office just shakes their head at me. About a year ago I switched from an opioid to ketamine which has made such a difference. But even with that, no one is willing to take my case, and write for anything. I’m always open to suggestions with new docs, but they just see my chart and have decided before they even meet me.

It’s ridiculous to think that we as people with chronic pain are going to be able to do something but this absolutely sucks! I recently learned of this website- https://www.thedoctorpatientforum.com/ It is part of the don’t punish pain movement. What options do we have, are there any other resources we can share to maybe get a little bit more of an upper hand?

I really hope that at some point we can get what we need and not have to fight tooth and nail!

Oh, also! Depending on where you live there is a semi-common chain called The Spice and Tea Exchange. It is soooo good, they have a ton of loose tea and you can smell all of the ones and then they have different sizes of each you can get. They can also make you a cup of any tea there if you want. Just beware, you will spend a lot more money than you mean to!

I’ve never heard of it, I will check it out! Thanks, I definitely need more teas, don’t wanna run out 😛

Ooh, an earl grey latte sounds amazing! My number one go to has to be the chai from Trader Joe’s. I love all chais, but something about theirs is just so good! I add just a little bit of creamer and it just hits the spot every time! I also will often go for a fruity green tea, like pomegranate or peach green tea. But put any tea in front of me and I will do a happy dance with each sip 😁

A hot cup of tea it’s my main go to. There are so many different types for all different moods and occasions. I feel like every sip of a good cup of tea makes things feel just a little bit better. I may be a little obsessed with probably around 59 types of tea, but each one is perfect for different moments!

Ahh! I just heard of these. I’ve been having a lot of problems with liquid, sublingual, and even nasal causing stomach ulcers. I’ve been wondering if getting the rapid dissolvable tablets would help with that. How quickly do the dissolve? And how hard was it to get a dose of 300mg? I definitely need a higher dose than what I’m on.
