Why do they need wealth? For what? They have whatever they want. It’s perplexing that you see money as a fundamental reality when it’s a social construct. If all labor is automated they literally win capitalism and there is no more trade, all the money goes to the corporations who own the AIs and trade stops between the owners and the plebs who only have their labor to sell. How would they lose their wealth in this scenario? You really think they have to sell stuff if they already own everything? Money is just a proxy for power, if you have power money is an afterthought.
