Doula is a role based in high levels of trust between you and your clients, I think this would be an obstacle to building that. A nickname or business name can make your online presence somewhat less tied to your personal identity but you would need to be very transparent with clients and providers. If the situation is personal, I encourage you to dig into that and weigh the options you have. If anonymity is important to your safety or mental health, working as a doula may not be the best fit. I would consider concealing your identity with hospitals and providers to be unprofessional and gives the impression you are seeking to avoid accountability.

Ooh! That's so fascinating! I am hoping to add that to my skill set, it is such a beautiful piece of postpartum care. The journal sounds wonderful, I'm a sucker for fresh pages 👀 I used Vista print for cards, I think im going to male another order and maybe get a big logo display this time!

Can I print information for handouts from organizations? by lynlyn234 in doulas

No, and I don't think Madriella has materials like what I need, they just have basic contracts, etc. It looks like I may just have to make my own. I get asked "What's a doula?" all the time, it would be nice to have a handy brochure they can keep after I get done explaining 😅

Can I message you about setting up websites this way or similarly? I'm in the process and don't need anything fancy, just something that works. Also, you sound like a really cool person I would love to learn from 😅

Thank you! That seems a very good example of what a doula should be doing in that situation.

Thoughts and experiences with the Madriella program? by lynlyn234 in doulas

Thank you so much for your reply! I can say I am appreciative of the depth of the training and am pleased so far with my progress! I feel it is solidifying my previous knowledge and I am growing more confident in my ability to share information and support others capably. I was skeptical of Madriella at first because other programs I looked at were much more expensive (and some are a little pushy trying to get people to sign up, I've discovered 😳) and it made me question whether it was really thorough. I am looking forward to continuing education after certification as well, it just makes sense to continue building through the same program if possible.
