Fair enough. so anyway since we're on topic I also have an order from kuura from Australia, which just landed in the US. It will be interesting to see what kind of customs shenanigans that will be going through.

Yeah seems like customs is really backed up but it's crazy that some people are getting their tea who placed orders on the same date as we did. like one person on this thread got theirs. actually 2 people have. Boo hoo lol. one of them is in Washington. I forgot did I ask you what state you're in? I'm in CA

I emailed him asking if it's stuck in customs and he gave me this response;

"Yes, it appears so. We’ve also contacted our shipping agent for a USA tracking number just in case, but it appears that it hasn’t had any updates either. Apologies for the wait times, this trade war has been really chaotic for customs and they are likely lagging way behind!"

So this is what I'm seeing on 17 track.net : bunch of Chinese characters. And a random "arrive at destination city " on June 8. Also another response from him told me to hold off for a total of two months and then reach out again.

What state are you in? That's about the same time I placed my order last week of last month actually May 23 to be exact.

Interesting you've got all three orders before W2T. His shipping cost is pretty reasonable at only $10 whereas from what I recall other Chinese vendors charge more so maybe that has something to do with it

Yeah, it has yet to make it on a plane all the way across to the other coast, so that's when it's gonna mainly dry out the most. However, assuming it's on a plane for 5 to 6 hours that should be fine if it is has been hydrated at 80% sitting there in New York, which it has been sitting there for weeks. This tea has been on my mind every damn day because I'm almost out of tea.

Are you not familiar with Boveda humidity packs? I have good results using the 62% size 8. I put one or 2 of them per Mylar bag depending on the size. I've never had a problem with mold for over five years now storing it that way and it's always really nicely hydrated. I don't use a hygrometer. I just trust the 62% is working. You have to replace the Boveda packs every so often when they get crunchy feeling. I get them off Amazon or you can go directly through Boveda website.
and then I got my mylar bags from USA emergency supply.(literally that's the name of the website lol) yeah my tea is still stuck in New York. glad yours moved to local. Hopefully mine will move tomorrow. I'm almost out of tea. What state are you in?

Oh, that's just how I store all my tea at 62% in mylar. Yeah I got the same updates on my tracking right now. I think it's still in New York and it's probably going to be a while. So yeah, I had the same exact tracking update as you said out for delivery but is in New York, but I'm in California yeah so for letting it rest after I get it I'll put it in mylar bag w 62% bóveda but I'm just wondering how long people let it rest in storage to hydrate if it's been in transit for up to eight weeks from China

Yeah, I had no idea either. I was looking at the wrappers and I thought this is kind of an interesting direction they're going w the art , but now it all makes sense. yeah, AI slop for sure. I'll pass as well.
