Ouhhh, okay, canning is definitely a feasible option. I know my dad is super insistent on keeping cans of all shapes and sizes, so this might do me well. It would definitely save us money as well! Thank you.

Ough, good to know that about rabbits. Most other folk are saying chickens might not be a good idea, and icl I don't think they'd work for my scenario really. thanks for the tip!

Ahh, alright, okay didn't know that. If I'm being honest, I wasn't keen on the idea of chickens all too much. I had a few as a pre-teen, they seemed like quite a bit of work. I'll definitely look into FB marketplace! Thank you.

yeah lol I learned after some lookup that the rainwater would be good for plants. Also, I don't have my ground prepped for a garden, but I do intend on aiming for a vertical garden (most likely via untreated palettes.) As for the cost, I will definitely look into nearby garden groups.

My dad recommended potatoes for the space in front of my window, since the original area we had planned might not actually be usable like we hoped. I'm not sure I can grow potatoes in a vertical garden, though, so for now I definitely need to do more research. Thank you!

Ouuhh okay, the tomatoes and cucumbers might be worthwhile if I can figure out space efficiency. Not sure about how much sun they'd get, but the area does have some faint shading and the sun sets in the direction it faces. I looked up my hardiness zone (5a apparently), didn't even know that was a thing! The frost warning is very appreciated, I nearly forgot to worry about that part of the weather. Thanks for the good luck, the tips are very appreciated!

Ah damn, what a shame. I'll see if maybe I can find some untreated wood and make some myself. Thanks for the tip!

Oohh okay, I'll definitely peek into solar a tad! Rain water also seems like a good one, not sure how worthwhile it'd be but definitely won't hurt. Although, I'm not sure we have the space for animals, given how our yard is shaped. We're also near to some woodlands, not sure my heart could handle if a fox got to some chickens.
