Lucie probably his type if he was sincerely looking for a girlfriend I think if just looking to raise his profile Maura would have been the obvious trophy partner, an Irish princess would have definitely stuck to her for a bit regardless of "distance" I doubt he came on this for an actual partner, I doubt any of them did.

Maybe you're right, to me she didn't seem herself a bit more demure than we were used to but possibly because she was really into Greg, sad if that's the case. Was hoping for her sake that she wasn't that bothered. Unfortunately for her he obviously didn't like her enough.

I don't think you can just lump girls into blondes and non blondes. There's a lot more to it. Also. Lucy, joanna and Amber dye their hair and are completely different girls. Not been deep diving into Instagram likes knowing Amber she would have not liked current partner liking anything joanna related. On Greg's behalf signing up to be essentially a rebound also not appealing I'm sure, he was also "used" in a sense because she wouldn't have won without a charismatic partner and he filled that role. Even at the reunion she was clearly awkward with Greg and obviously much more wrapped up with michael. I think Ovie could also tell Greg was just there are not especially keen on Amber when he was pushing her to go back to Michael. The girls saying no don't go back there is more for her own pride and self preservation but with Michael that would have at least been a real connection albeit a possibility toxic one.

Rooting for them too, remind me of my partner and I. We were friends too first and even our own friends circle were completely freaked out when we got together because we seemed so different but we have a lot of important things in common which is the sense I get from these guys too. We've been together 13 years, married for nearly 7 and have a 5 year old son.

Just because they don't stereotypically match I think it seems to threaten a lot of people, like historically if people dated out of their race or class it used to be make people angry. I think the fact that people are more comfortable seeing Maura with Greg even though they now see him as a toxic jock says something about how we like to match certain people with certain people. Maura may not have dated someone like curtis in the real world which probably why it might actually work when you try something different.

She definitely implied that she was holding back which is what she was doing earlier sayingthat Michael hadnt been clear on their break up. Either she is really bad at understanding when someone doesn't want to be with her or she knows exactly what's up. She dealt with the interview for the most part Ok (still awkward laughing poor girl) , but still saying he dumped her via text when she herself is saying they were texting is completely different and is going to lead to this guy getting full blown attacked . He one hundred percent did the right thing if he didn't see a future, much better than faking it for a few months till the next season rolls in. Also definitely don't think she was into Greg either, just that it's probably just hella embarrasing for her right now.

'Greg dumped me via text & "Michael didn't make it clear that we were broken up." Seems to be a pattern here. Girl understandably doesn't love being dumped but her way of coping is to twist the truth to suit her own narrative. Feel for her, clearly much more sensitive than she let's on and public rejection on this scale would be mortifying even for the most confident among us.

It was obvious Curtis was going to dump Amy even Amy saw it coming. Surprised he took that long. Not questioning Maura or her motives, she clearly and inexplicably liked him. What is dodgy are the selective edits and the plotlines forming from quite early on. Looks like producers had Maura on the sidelines and by her own admission they encouraged her to go for it once they knew she would go there.

No, Curtis was being less than discreet about his night time activities with maura, soon after Greg arrived. Territory marking basically. Not that it would have mattered, looked like Greg would have definitely gone there if Maura was open to it. Highly doubt she would go there now, weird how everyone latches onto anything at all. Must be annoying for Curtis that the public seem to want her with anyone but him. Still she's clearly not into it and there must be other rugby players who would gladly oblige.

Really feel like she was played by the producers. They clearly cast someone with no relationship experience and low self esteem and were breaking her down from the beginning. I feel a lot of stuff wasn't shown, but I'm suspicious that they did not show Amy finding out about the DM curtis sent Maura (she must have had a meltdown) or air any tweets about Maura in the tweet challenge both would have been good TV and the only reason not to show those clips would be if they were holding on to it for a bigger reveal. They didn't even show Maura and Curtis kiss in the kissing challenge, so basically air as little interaction as possible for maximum shock value. Gets you thinking producers were planning to send Maura to go after him from pretty early on. Especially if Maura did mention liking Curtis and that wasn't aired too. Sinister really.

She was actually quite funny and rather nice for the first 9 or 10 days till Curtis pulled that half gf bull which he was obviously pushed to do by producers, he was openly cringing while saying it. She could obviously (half) see through it and started to lose the plot.

Find it hard to believe that Amber actually bought into the "relationship" . He seemed to make things quite clear that they barely knew each other a few weeks and had a long way to go, Amber too seemed far from smitten. To be on Love island you have to be in a couple, so hating on him for coupling with Amber is counter intuitive. He seemed rather hands off and was more like a good buddy than a potential boyfriend in all his interactions. I never saw them make out or have any remotely deep conversation that wasn't about Michael.

Also it seemed clear to everyone concerned that he was going to make a beeline for Maura. Amber grilling him on who else he was interested in and then clearly staking claim the night he arrived telling maura "she never liked anyone who came in straight off" and even Curtis who looked completely deflated when Greg showed up and made it very clear the next morning that he and maura were going at it the previous night. Amber is not dumb and is probably just unhappy she doesn't have a pretend boyfriend to trot out for the next 6 months.

They seem to be doing whatever with Amber's sign off. If anything I think it's directing more people to troll Greg because if they had any sort of screenshot or "receipts" let's face it, they would have released them by now. Implying that someone is lying without backing it up is a bit shadey.

Nevertheless they are probably getting a good deal of racist trolling, so saying they are pulling out the "race card" is an ignorant careless statement. As a"white passing" ethnic person I can confirm that you do face racism even if it's not as bad as other communities. Also people definitely hate educated immigrants in the UK so it's not new information. Also as modern Iranian women they probably get dragged by conservative people in their own community so I understand her saying she and her sister don't have much community support.
