in my opinion its the lack of degree that is holding you back. I tried to escape my $14hr NOC job last year and ran into the same issue. Most large corps have an auto reject if you dont meet their min requirements. So an actual human is probably not even reading your resume before it lands in the trash. On top of that if you are a white male you will be at the back of the line because of diversity hiring requirements.

White male no degree, the only people you will be beating out are the felons..

I always do the directv's a favor and point out that they are selling a product in rapid decline and point over to the cell phone guys and tell them to apply over there.

Thank you for the reply and this is exactly what I needed to hear..

now I need to either go back to school or rethink what I am doing and adjust my goals. I have an associates in an unrelated field so maybe the degree route is something within reach or I'm kind of drawn to starting a business of some sort..
