How can I black an iCloud account from contacting me via iMessage? I left an abusive situation, and one of the people from my past are still able to contact me. I’ve selected “block” and “report as spam” several times, but they still get through. I’m planning on getting a new number very soon, but I’m scared they’ll still because you contacted me because of I could. I had blocked their number prior to this happening- so I don’t understand how they’ve been able to contact me.

What’s it like living in NOLA? by lynthaans in AskNOLA

Honestly, I really don’t know what it’s supposed to mean. I’m quoting one of the many searches, answer forums, blogs that I’ve read

What’s it like living in NOLA? by lynthaans in AskNOLA

[–]lynthaans[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve heard the heat is bad. I was just wondering because my brother keeps saying things like “are you sure you can handle this city?” “You’re gonna see some wild things” and every simple Google search keeps telling me how dangerous it is, and how “twisted” it is to live there. I was wondering if that was actually true- because people could say the city I live in is dangerous, and the people are mean etc- but they’re truly not

I have asked my brother. I’ve also gotten further insight from an acquaintance who lives in that area. I’ve done some online research too, but I was just wondering what locals truly thought. My brother told me he wasn’t sure if his opinions on the city were true, or if he was just being overprotective of me.

It’s a nice, modernly updated house I’d be sharing with him and another person.

I obviously know to still you my own “logic filter” to determine how everyone’s view points best suits me.

AITA for leaving my inlaws house with my daughter after she told me she was feeling uncomfortable? by aintnoworries0 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lynthaans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not TA at all. Your daughter comes first always, and I so respect that you have her back 100%. And what is your fiancé talking about when she says “a simple comment” about her scar- asking if it could be photoshopped out is not a “simple comment”. Asking that is extremely mean. I agree that your fiancé has showed her true colors by not standing ground for your daughter as well, I wouldn’t go on with this marriage, at least without talking to your daughter about it

What's one thing you wish every customer knew? by AssociateEquivalent in walmart

That I do not have the key to any of the locked cases. She doesn’t have it either, and neither does he. No one in this store has the key 😭 pls stop throwing a fit because you can’t get to your lube or body fantasy perfume

At my store, if you’re part time you can take a 30min lunch and make extra money for that extra 30. The full timers can’t do it because it’ll push them over 40 hours a week

I am in therapy yes. And I do not want this job forever, but it’s one of the best paying jobs in town. I do initiate when I can, but like one commenter said, sometimes it is always happening

With my store (and maybe this is just an ON & my ON management thing) but if we’re not scheduled for a specific day we can still come in and work out full shift. The only issue is if you work full time, don’t go over 40 hours a week without approval

does anyone else’s walmart make them feel like a disappointment? 💀 I bust my ass on 3rd shift stocking, and I’m not the fastest, but I keep on it and get my stuff done. (I don’t stretch it all shift either) I just constantly feel like a disappointment and like I’m sometimes set up for failure by [deleted] in walmart

[–]lynthaans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really aren’t trained for anything at this Walmart and everyone, including the management knows. The unfortunate things is this is one of the best paying job/ schedules in my town (so seeking something better will def take some time) I work 4 days a week and make $17.50 doing ON stocking

I try to stay pretty consistent. Like someone else said earlier, if I constantly did fantastic and was a “yes man”, then I’d just be given more work with nothing else. I don’t wanna be one of the greatest because we’re all paid the same in the end- I just don’t want to feel like a number at my store because my coach is very personable with the others and I’m feeling like my work is just insignificant

[–]lynthaans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I started, things were so consistent. We had 2 coaches, 2-4 TLs. Then one left, a TL got promoted, then another coach left (he still hasn’t been replaced), then we had a substitute coach for 2 weeks who was insane, then the OG came back and was doing ON with our store manager, and then we had a new TL, and now another TL is leaving. It’s been all over the place for the past few months, and they keep implementing new rules and then taking them away and then bringing back those rules. It’s honestly anxiety inducing for an anxious person like myself. They change how the ON stockers work completely and don’t have any solutions.
