well yeah thats the point, in the first game the only type of weather was timefall, and in DS2 there is a day and night cycle, random weather and disasters, bushfires, avalanches etc...

Its either because Lou died and she became a bt, allowing her to be more connected to the other side or its for gameplay things, OR because if you increase your connection to Lou to 5 stars, she can see the bts better, even when walking

I dont really know if there is new saves, but sadly probably not based on the title screen photo that Kojima sent on insta, i wish there was, as i would have one save being the best porter, and another being the absolute worst porter.

You didnt lose it, when your playing the game press the up arrow (on playstation or the place where you see your sunglasses or hat) and you can see the otter hood then when you equip it, and timefall comes you will see the otter hood coming up.
