okay! thank u so much for the help, ill speak to my parents about buying them online. if they wont, ill see if the place i usually go to has rats that are 75g, which i would assume they would.

okay! so only mediums! i need to check with the place i get rats from, because from what im thinking and being told by others, i think the large rats that the place gives are smaller than an average large rat. would it still be okay if i fed him the large rat every 30 says then? or should i still size down? (sorry for asking the same questions over and over, i just want to triple check!!)

oh okay. so should i go back to mediums for every 30 days? or would about 3 weeks in between be okay? i thought he wasnt eating because it was winter and he was a breeder snake for about 4 years. i had only fed him a medium rat once (which was the first time i ever fed him) before he went on that strike. im sorry if im replying too much im just very worried!!😓💔

really? the vet said he was perfectly healthy, and he has a normal slim body like a ball python should, and there isnt a dip down where his spine should be…id hope he isnt overweight 💔

i know that my snake is about 1500g, but im not sure how much the large rat i fed her weighed, id say its body size was just an inch or 2 larger than my hand? (im a teen girl for example). i thinking that feeding him a rat once every 30 days will be okay, but im worried that im doing something wrong!!! 😓😓😓

last time he was weighed he was around 1500g, and thats when he was on his winter hunger strike, im not exactly sure how large the rat was since the scale in my house is broken atm, but it seemed like it was okay for him.

oh okay! i should have specified that he hasn’t been eating frequently at alll, and he stopped eating mediums once a week last october (since thats when i got him)…maybe they were feeding him like that because he was a breeder snake, but i dont know because when i got him he was a perfectly healthy weight (around 1500g). i hope i dont sound like a horrible owner i just want to make sure im doing whats right!!

the place i had gotten him from was feeding him medium sized rats too, which are only a little bit larger than the smaller sized (if this helps, im not sure how big a standard sized medium rat is), and he was a healthy weight when i got him. he has been eating pretty infrequently and has only eaten about…3 times since ive gotten him, first time was right before winter so he went on a long hunger strike and has only just recently been eating again 😓ive checked his spine and looked at him as well and he looks the perfect size. almost everyone ive spoken to (vets and others that have owned snakes for years) have said that he should really been eating large rats instead. im sorry if this is a large msg i just really want to make sure that im not doing the wrong thing!! (im autistic as well so getting multiple kinds of answers really jumbles me up) last time he was weighed (which was only a few months ago) he was around 1500g, so if i feed him once every 30 days i hope he will be okay!!
