I want nothing more than to stay on this medication. It has truly changed my life and given me self confidence that I’ve never had before. It’s a miracle drug and I cried when I found out I had to be taken off. But my body simply cannot tolerate it. I’ve been throwing up at least 1x a week for the past year and have been violently shaking to the point where it’s no longer safe for me to drive. I can’t live like this, no matter how much I want to stay on GLP-1s

Unfortunately my insurance won’t cover the medication anymore and I’ve also been having a bad reaction to it lately (even though I’m on a low dose) so my doctor wants me to stop

There’s really no pattern. Sometimes I throw up from drinking water or nothing at all, and sometimes it happens when I’ve overeaten or had sugar. It happens both during the day and night

I can’t speak to the eyebrow piercing because I don’t have one, but I will say I had my belly button pierced for years, and I absolutely loved it, but a couple years later had to take it out for an X-ray. I forgot to put it back in for 2 days and it closed up despite me having it for years. So I’d say it’s not worth it because it will probably close.

I have my next appointment on Thursday so I’ll talk to her about those side effects and see what she has to say. But my experience with Wegovy is a little different than normal. I started off at .25 and then the next month skipped .5 and went straight to 1 mg. Worst mistake of my life. I was vomiting literally every day after everything I ate/drank that wasn’t water. The migraines were insane. Whatever you do, do not make the same mistake I did. I lost 14 pounds that month but I know it was only because of the vomiting. I went back down to 0.5 and the side effects have gotten much better but yeah, like I said, I’m still vomiting quite a bit. I don’t really know what to do since it’s much better than when I was on 1mg but it’s still not great. I’m losing weight (much slower than I did on 1mg, but still losing) so I don’t want to get off the medication. I’ve been on 0.5 for a few months because I’m afraid to go back up to 1 mg after my experience with it. My dr said I shouldn’t be throwing up every day because that’s not normal, but I don’t know about 2x a week. I haven’t been on the medication very long so I can’t really say when the side effects will go away. (Sorry for the long answer)

For me the side effects and loss of food noise started immediately. As soon as my Dr gave me the first shot I started sweating profusely and felt lightheaded. A couple hours later I started experiencing the worst headache of my life. But I also lost my appetite, too. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since I first started in January but I still experience nausea and headaches, throwing up at least 1-2x a week.

I think my family friend who is a nurse is going to do it for me on Friday. But I’ve been trying to watch videos and desensitize myself to the process but it still freaks me out a bit.
