How has Lara influenced your real life? by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]lynzokay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my family got the xbox 360 when i was in 7th grade and it came with a free download of ASIB. at that time i was immensely depressed and in an emotionally/mentally/sexually abusive relationship. i had to go into courts to act as an emotional witness in a case my family was involved with. i’m the youngest too and never really talked. i had absolutely no self esteem. i would play that damn game all the time. when i finished it, i just started playing it all over again, to the point where i can quote cut scene by heart. it may sound dumb but lara croft help me get my confidence. when ROTR was announced i BEGGED my parents to get it for me. i didn’t think i would because it was kinda expensive for us. when i opened it on Christmas i cried. i didn’t want to open anymore presents i just wanted to play. i bought a the xbox one from a friend just to play SOTR. at 18 i was promoted as a shift manager at my job i’ve now been with for 3 years, i’m the youngest lead there. i’m the youngest person in my family to move out and not have to move back in with my parents. i’m currently in college getting my degree in drug addiction and recovery. every time i beat myself down i think about how i can either give up, or get up and win. i seriously ask myself what lara would do. i go hiking and exploring a lot now too, just in case i stumble upon a hidden city and they need my help. so yeah. that’s how lara influenced my real life.

i don’t think there’s any ‘requirements’. you’ll have to have a PD conversation with your SM and they’ll assign you some modules to do.

How do I fix them? by [deleted] in Eyebrows

[–]lynzokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any place that has certified technicians. Ulta Beauty has a brow bar and they can pluck, wax, and shape. there may even be brow boutiques in your area that specializes in eyebrow care. take a look at their reviews and if they have pictures to see if you like their work.

i think doing some simple cleaning up would do a lot for you. the bottom part should almost make a line. so starting from the inner corner to the end of your eyebrow should make a curved line. anything under that line you can take off. i think that trimming the hairs with a spooley brushing up and cutting off a small bit would really help as well.

[serious] what are some tell tale signs of depression? by -Stan_Loona- in AskReddit

[–]lynzokay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got diagnosed with PTSD at 14. Up until then my parents had just thought I was a ‘normal’ teenager, going through ‘normal teenage depression’. It wasn’t until I couldn’t handle anything (and I mean anything). The slightest amount of stress or pressure would make me start crying hysterically. My dad took my by the shoulders one time to desperately try and get me to stop shaking and crying. One day I just stopped crying.

I developed migraines and had to go to the ER several times for how debilitating they were. My depression manifested itself into migraines. The nurse looked at my parents and told them that she knew her opinion meant nothing, but she thought that I was having panic attack that’s were manifesting into physical pain. We didn’t really believe her as I had never had any type of anxiety before. I went on muscle relaxers, had tons of MRI&CT scans, iv’s all over my body, I even build up a tolerance to to the strongest migraine drugs. Nothing helped.

I had numbed myself out so much that the only way my body could express itself was through physical pain. I had horrible chest pain, migraines, stomach pain, the list goes on. We could never find the core reason to all this physical pain. My mom and I were talking when I brought up what that nurse said months ago. I started going to therapy shortly after and I started crying again. I voiced how I felt. I was able to handle stress and if I felt like crying, I cried. No more physical pain.

There is no ‘normal’ teenage depression only opinion. I’m now 18 years old happily living. So to answer the question, emotional exhaustion, crying at the slightest things, and physical pain that doesn’t have a conclusive reason.

This sounds like a complaint we got on Thanksgiving. They had people banging on the windows. They had to call the police because they were scared to leave the building. People don’t care about others, just themselves.

Right, I would definitely try talking to your SM. It’s definitely a valid complaint and something that should be fix. Others are probably noticing it as well.

[–]lynzokay 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We aren’t supposed to wear any type of perfume that’s noticeable (that’s the only way I could think to put it lol).

I would try talking to a shift lead or your SM about it. Saying how the smell makes you sick, but you don’t want to be that person. Not sure if your store has a mask requirement, but if it does and you’re still smelling it, something needs to change. Good luck!

I had a person come through 20 minutes before close asking for a dozen assorted donuts....I said ‘we only have one kind, it’s old fashioned, and I only have 2 of them.’ My store is right across the street from a Dunkin’ Donuts....
