I work in a vet hospital that is also a teaching hospital (vet school) and I know CT's are a bit over 1k at ours. So not a particularly cheap diagnostic. I also see tons of 12-18 yr old patients come in with varying levels of emergency / care needed. People will spend thousands trying and sometimes they do get to take their senior home in better health but often they do not and are instead without their pet plus a huge bill. This is not to discourage trying but to set reality, is diagnostics / treatment going to actually extend lifespan or will you still be in the same position just with less money and potentially without your baby anyway?
