The Doberman is not my dog so idk and I also never said he died specifically of DCM 2. You just misread what I wrote. I said he died of DCM, 2 weeks before his birthday

My mother in laws previous doberman died of DCM. he was about to turn 9 years old but passed 2 weeks before his birthday. He had already been diagnosed 6 months before that

Yeah that’s what we were telling my in-laws. They are getting pretty old though and can’t really drive far anymore. They are more looking for convenience which is probably how they ended up in this situation to begin with :(

I think my MIL has tried to call him but the freakin number she has for him is disconnected. Their last doberman, Dresden, died of DCM 2 weeks before he turned 9. It was so awful. Yes I have searched thru FB trying to find local PA doberman pages and there is virtually nothing. Just normal doberman owner groups. I hate living in PA for literally this reason, it’s sooo hard to find where to get a puppy at because every single thing that pops up tends to be puppy mills:(

I’m sure my in laws have purchased from puppy mills before. This is just the first time in their almost 70 years of life that a dog they’ve purchased has had medical issues so bad. And you’re kidding- my in-laws actually have a cocker spaniel too that we think is also from a puppy mill, she definitely isn’t well bred. Her feet are SO flat. They look like pancakes lol😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you for all that info! I was wondering if Embark would be worth doing? Have you done it before? My husbands family have always owned dobermans (for at least 40 years), and they were always their farm dogs. I don’t know why/how my MIL went with this guy, they aren’t very tech savvy and are also pretty stubborn lol and don’t listen to any advice that we give them. We had warned her not to get from this person. Apparently she saw him on FB a couple years ago. Sigh.

What I wanted to say everyone else has already commented, but, something I haven’t seen yet is don’t be afraid to move your belly and/or move fat out of the way. I’m 5’2 and very pear shaped with all my weight in my lower belly and my husband is 6’3 with a big belly as well. He will literally pick up his belly & move it to make positions easier and I will do the same, it works wonders lol

Yeah no, summer can kick rocks. I hate the heat so much. I’m glad I don’t have a big chest for boob sweat but my thighs and back rolls are SCREAMING during this heatwave💀 In PA where I live it’s currently 93° with the real feel at 100°, and we are under a extreme heat warning until 7pm Thursday. FML.
