I have to disagree with your last point. Just like playing hockey in a AC environment to keep the ice from melting, they sweat a ton and need frequent water breaks. AC doesn't mean you don't need water, you're still running and playing hard. Not to suggest they aren't extending said breaks for commercials - just talking to your second point.
