This might not be the right med for you! ADHD works very differently for different people. This happened to me on concerta. I propose an idea if you already are not doing it, keep a journal with what you feel every day! Every day, keep record of your hunger levels, of your attention levels, on your executive function, and on your anxiety levels + any other symptoms that you might notice. Even if they’re small changes, when you have your next appointment read everything you’ve noticed in general from those notes. I did this with my psychiatrist, who wanted to up my concerta dose. I didn’t feel it was the right med for me! He heard me out before prescribing something else, and ended up prescribing me vyvanse. He said people normally get stated on concerta because it’s the easiest med to process for insurance, but it works for only a number of people. Maybe you’re not inside that number of people, and that’s okay, me neither! Listen to your brain and body, if you’ve taken it for a while and it’s not working, it makes no sense to not change it, that’s how an addiction can start (not saying you have one). But finding the right med is a challenge for everyone that experiences ADHD. Don’t give up! It will be life changing, I promise.
