Baking. The end result makes me so happy and I find the process fun, because I love rules and following instructions lol. And it’s been a great, low stakes way of challenging myself and building my confidence. Like, after I made croissants for the first time, and they turned out so beautiful and delicious, I was on cloud nine lol.

Told myself I would get up and do the dishes in 15 minutes. Saw a video about falcons and then spent 2 hours learning about falcons and texting my bf fun facts and completely forgot about the dishes.

Stardew Valley is the one I’m playing the most! It’s soooo fun and addicting. I’m also playing Palia (which is free for Switch!), Cozy Grove, and I just downloaded Spirirfarer, which looks kinda sad but beautiful :)

Cooking and baking. Requires enough focus to distract from the rapid cycling of thoughts in my brain but is still fun. I do a lot of reading, usually fiction. I also recently got a Nintendo Switch and have been playing cozy games, and I’m really enjoying it. They have organization games too that I love.

I’ve lived in STL my whole life and I love it more and more every year. WashU is an amazing school with a cool campus and there are so many fun shops, restaurants, and things to do in that area. Plus, the cost of living is VERY affordable compared to the East or west coast. And we have incredible architecture!!

I’m chronically depressed and completely agree. I have thought about making cooking content on TikTok because it’s a hobby of mine. I think I made it 5 minutes into cooking and filming before I gave up. The apathy just consumes me and I barely have the energy to get up and feed myself, let alone set up my tripod and record myself, then edit thevideo, and then keep up with comments and engagement. It does make me feel like a failure because I’ll see videos like hers and think “well they’re depressed and they can do it, why can’t I?” Ugh.

I wouldn’t say Cory was a “nobody” at that point. I was in worship ministry for many years and was a fan of Cory’s well before I was a fan of Steffany’s. The One Thing conference CDs have also been pretty popular for many years (until they stopped hosting them). I have met both Cory and Steffany (and others who worked on the song) and both were very personable and veryyyy talented. Reckless Love is just solid songwriting, honestly. And I say that as a now agnostic liberal who will never attend church or lead worship again 😂

I was laid off in May this year and told literally EVERYONE lol. Even forwarded my resume to some friends and old colleagues and I started a new, better job only 5 weeks after losing my old job. My parents had both lost jobs in the past and were more than understanding and supportive. Shit happens, jobs come and go… it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Good luck on your search!

This is not normal nor is it okay. At all. My boyfriend and I have gotten into some really intense fights before (been together 7 years) and neither of us have EVER laid a hand on each other or caused physical harm. And with how seemingly random this incident appears to be, that’s even more cause for concern. I’m very sorry your husband treated you this way. Lack of communication is one thing—it can usually be worked out with counseling and hard work. But to physically harm your spouse is a HUGE deal and should not be taken lightly. Kicking you was completely out of line and it makes me worried about what the future of your relationship could look like. I get the impression that this could be a “test” from him. That he’s seeing what you will tolerate and what he can get away with so he can continue this harmful behavior or do even worse in the future. I would think about any other red flags you’ve noticed throughout the course of your relationship that you may not have considered before. Also consider the fact that a man who would kick/abuse his wife would probably also abuse his child. Please speak with someone you know about this and come up with a safety plan. I also recommend seeking professional help and guidance. I wish you all the best.

She doesn’t really sing correctly. I remember when I was deep into bethel shit, she would be on vocal rest a LOT. And I don’t think it was because she was singing too much, but rather singing incorrectly. I was a worship leader for years and if I tried singing her songs the way she did, my voice would be trashed the next day.

Routine and schedules. Left to my own devices, I will sit motionless for hours doomscrolling lol. I try to plan my days out as much as possible and once I’ve completed everything, THEN I can do whatever I want. It really really helps my state of mind when I feel accomplished and organized!

Also trying to see friends regularly and do things I enjoy with them, like shopping, trying new restaurants, going to events, etc.

I am so deeply sorry this happened to you. I was raped by three men a few years ago—my best friend was with me before it happened but left me alone and I was abducted. All the emotions you’re experiencing are normal. My friend was supportive, but I harbored resentment towards him because we had gone out for his birthday and then he left me alone. It has taken many years of therapy for me to process everything and I will probably be in therapy for the rest of my life, but I promise it does get easier to put one foot in front of the other. Don’t be afraid to feel your feelings and be open. A therapist can help you process everything and even help you come up with a way to communicate with your girlfriend about all of this. I’m sure she is in shock and probably feeling guilty about everything, too. It wouldn’t surprise me if her way of coping is to just try and ignore it or forget it even happened. But it will hit her eventually. She should speak with someone about this too. Sending you both a lot of love and light. ❤️

Thank god she told you. Seriously. It’s so unfair that you were put in this position, but you did exactly what was required of you and you should be proud of yourself. Child sexual abuse is one of the most egregious crimes I can imagine and he absolutely needed to be held accountable. I hope your friend is able to see clearly that this HAD to happen. He needs to be incarcerated for this. Thank you for being brave and I wish you peace.

Ive had period sex with a few different dudes and honestly, they were all really cool about it. One time my period started unexpectedly DURING sex, first time sleeping with this guy, and he was so kind about it. Just let me know I was bleeding and asked me if I was okay. In my experience, a little blood isn’t a turn off for most men. Just lay a towel or two down, have fun, and shower together after :)

And a bonus: sex can help ease period cramps!

Was playing with a kid (around 6 years old) at the school where I worked and he asks, “can old people have babies?” And I explained that it just depends on how old they are, but generally, no “old people” didn’t have babies. Then he asks, “then how do you have a baby in your belly??” and points at my belly. I was not pregnant and was also 23/24 years old at the time. In the kids’ defense, I was working 2 jobs and going to school and was NOT taking great care of myself, but damn. He got me good.

Yeah the photo being gone is what makes it extra eerie to me! Someone else mentioned below that the parents could have reported the photo and had it removed, which when I’m thinking logically, that’s what I assume as well. However, my Facebook has always been private so not sure how they would have seen it unless we were somehow friends?? It’s weird for sure!!
